For BTech admission to the VIT Pune BTech course, candidates must complete the admission procedure of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, also known as MHT CET. The MHT CET admission process is inclusive of the application process, exam, result, merit lists, seat allocations, and final admission. Candidates are required to access the MHT CET exam portal and apply for the exam. Once the admission dates and admit cards are out, candidates are required to appear for the exam. After completion of the exams, the MHT CET result will be out, based on which candidates become eligible to apply for the MHT CET counselling. The allotment of BTech seats will be based on position in the MHT CET merit list 2025. Every year, over 250 companies visit for Campus Placements. As per the recent placement reports, a total of 83 companies visited the campus during VIT Pune placements 2024. Further, the the highest and average package offered during placements 2024 stood at INR 51 LPA and INR 9.72 LPA, respectively. It is to noting that the placement drive in 2024 was ongoing at the time the page was updated.

For admissions to VIT Pune BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, candidates must take standard entrance exams like MH CET or JEE Main and other university-specific entrance exams in addition to their Class 12 results. • Candidates must have passed class 12/appearing in class 12 in 2025
• Candidate should have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one subject among Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/Business Studies in class 12
• Candidate must obtain at least 45% agregate in class 12. Candidates belonging to the backward class, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability category should obtain at least 40 % aggregate in class 12

The MCA program at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology will cease operations from September 2024 intake and thus admissions for MCA session 2024-26 are currently not available. During the previous admission cycles for MCA students at this institute enrolled a total of 60 candidates while exam entry scores ranged between 50 to 55 marks from a possible 100. The institution made this choice because it wants to direct its resources toward newly emerging courses. Future applicants seeking admission to Master of Computer Applications programs should research different educational institutions as the current college is discontinuing MCA programs. The MCA programs at different reputed institutions usually handle intakes between 50 and 80 seats while using similar entrance cutoff standards and their graduates typically earn Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 4.5 lakh as starting salaries each year.
