The VITREE exam result 2026 will be announced on December 20 (Saturday). Students who have appeared the exam (on December 7) will be able to check their result. The VITREE 2026 result will be announced in the form of rank card. Candidates can access their result using their application number and password.

The VITREE Ph.D Chemistry includes the important areas Inorganic (coordination compounds, bioinorganic chemistry, organometallics), (physics (thermodynamics, electrochemistry & potential application, spectroscopy/kinetics), Organic Chemistry (reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, named reactions, named spectroscopy) The other lot consists of multidisciplinary topics e.g – nanoscience, medicinal chemistry, green chemistry and some analytical techniques. Key concepts and their applications in real world are emphasised.

Moreover, the application fees to apply and appear for the exam is INR 1,200. This fee is nonrefundable. Moreover, students must note that the aforementioned fees is as per official sources. VIT Business School accepts VITREE scores for PhD admissions. Thus, candidates interested in taking admission can apply for the exam. The steps to apply are as follows:
1. Go to the official website of the institute.
2. Click on the 'VITREE' under the research programmes tab.
3. Create a new candidature account using your active email ID & contact number.
4. Enter your personal, educational, and other relevant details.
5. Attach the required documents.
6. Pay the application fees of INR 1,200.

The VITREE 2026 question paper will comprise of questions in the English language. The duration of VITREE 2026 exam is two hours. Candidates will be alloted a computer to attempt the test. The VITREE question paper will consists of technical, English communication skills, and statistics and probability questions.

The Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) exam pattern for Direct PhD applicants is as follows -
The VITREE is conducted online, and the examination lasts two hours.
A total of 100 MCQs will be asked in the examination.
For each correct answer, 1 mark will be rewarded. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The VITREE question paper for PhD consists of the following questions: (Technical - 80 questions, English communication skills - 20 questions).
