WBJEE marking scheme is different according to category of question. The questions are divided into three categories. For Category I and II, there is negative marking, while there is none for Category III questions.

WBJEE is held offline as a pen and paper based test. Students have to report to centre and attempt exam in an OMR sheet. Out of the given options for each question, student will have to mark correct one with their pen and submit it.

WBJEE is mostly held in 47 examination zones in the various cities of West Bengal. However, the exam is also conducted in Assam (Silchar) and Tripura (Agartala). For the exam, the students will have to fill out three zones as per the preference.

Yes, WBJEE is an annual exam. The authorities conduct the state-level engineering entrance examination once a year, in one day. The exam will not be held more than once in a year. The details of the WBJEE exam date is announced online to let the students know the examination schedule.

For WBJEE admissions, there is an age limit. Students have to be minimum 17 years old during the admission year. There is no upper age limit. However, for Marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years.

Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.

Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.
