It depends upon which college do you want to go to.
As of now, to get IT in top 5 colleges under WBJEE 2018, one needs to secure a rank within 5k to 6k.
And for Jadavpur University, the rank should be under 500. Best of luck. Hope you will get your best.

Don't waste your years if you don't have the potential to crack JEE Mains but if you have the potential to crack the same then you should, but at the time of campus drive be ready to answer some questions.

The candidates appearing for WBJEE must obtain a minimum of 60% marks in 10+2 board examination. However, the SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A and OBC-B candidates must secure at least 55% marks in WBJEE. The candidates must have passed in English with 30% marks as well.

TFW rank means rank under Tuition fees waiver scheme. It shows your rank among those students whose family income is less than 2 lacs (around ). At the time of counselling your GMR matters only. If your general merit rank is good and you are a TFW student, you can get admission under TFW quota, and you have to pay less fee.

WBJEE has a tuition fee waiver scheme where candidates with very low family income can get a seat in eligible colleges as per their TFW rank, receiving a waiver in college fees only. TFW:-Tuition Fee Waiver, Means if you get a seat with TFW, then you don't have to pay tuition fee for your respective branch of your respective institute. Any predictor is basically a software programme that takes into account the facts of the previous year and tries to fit in the present. It's basically a guesswork of the programmer and can not be exact. It must be treated as a tool to get rough idea.

After choice filling when results of choice filling come, then you can get allotment letter. Letter is of college not for counseling. There is no letter for counseling allotted. Good luck.
