With 27,000 rank in WBJEE, it would be tough to get into the best government engineering colleges in West Bengal where the cut off is generally much lesser. Though limits may not be in the range of what you expect with respect to your chosen branch or the particular colleges, it is possible that government colleges may still have certain branches open — less sought-after ones — and higher cutoff ranks will likely be available in other colleges, including new-age institutions. Your category and the competition in the given year also determine your chances of admission. Always check the data available on the official WBJEE counseling

Yes, the authorities will prepare separate WBJEE merit lists for the different courses. For Engineering/Technology/Architecture courses, the WBJEE General Merit List (GMR) will be prepared. Selection of candidates for admissions into the courses will be done based on the GMR. For Pharmacy admissions, the authorities will prepare the WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List (PMR). The merit list will be prepared based on the score of candidates who have appeared in the combined paper of Physics & Chemistry only in the WBJEE.

During the examination, the candidates will have to do their rough work in the space provided in the WBJEE question booklet. Candidates will not be provided extra papers to do the rough work. The authorities will also not allow the candidates to bring separate papers to the WBJEE exam centre. All of the rough work has to be done at the provided space and submitted to the authorities.
