The placement scenario varies from year to year especially in chemical engineering of Haldia Institute of Technology.
In 2017, various core companies recruited students from HIT like Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Adani Wilmar, Topchem Cement, Praxair, Wacker, S.G Biogas, IR Chemicals, Oriental Nicco, Chemtex, Voith Paper, Sanmar, and Almal.
Many IT companies mass recruited chemical engineers like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Some chemical engineers from Haldia Institute of Technology got a chance to get placed in sales companies like Berger, Amazon, but these two companies recruited students through off campus placements.
