If you belong to SC-ST, then you'll surely get a NIT. If you belong to OBC, then also you have a good chance of getting into a NIT. But if you're a General, you wont get. And no one gets into IIT just by giving JEE Mains. To get into a IIT, you have to score well in JEE Advance.

if there is no institute in your state then you can opt online preparation option.
for your reference i am sharing here some links kindly refer them.
one more thing you need to read one English newspapers everyday.
also give self study on maths, Logical Reasoning etc.
