No, a PhD student from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, Kolkata, cannot prefix 'Dr.' to their name. While the prefix "Dr." is commonly used by individuals with doctoral degrees, including those with PhDs, and by registered medical practitioners in modern medicine, Ayurveda, homeopathy, and Unani, it is not automatically applicable to those holding degrees or diplomas in alternative medicine systems like those offered by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine.

The Ethics Committee of the Council decided that the title “Doctor” may be used by the registered medical practitioners in the modern medicine, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani. No other group of workers in the field of medical profession whethernursing or para-medical staff should use the title “Doctor”.

Don't mess up your life by wasting time and money on this fake degree generator entity. It has been blacklisted long ago yet it is still running on the basis of syndicates and corrupted machinery. Any clinical practice from such a degree is a criminal offense.
