Yes definitely you can apply XIME through MAT and the current cutoff will be 70 percentile. If you have MAT score then you need not attend XAT and CAT but it would be good if you could appear for all those exams to increase your chances of getting 70 percentile.

The time span doesn't really matter, but the dedication matters.
CAT is not an easy nut to crack.
You will have to give your best to pass through it with flying colors.
MAT is an easy option as its difficulty level is below CAT.

CAT registrations have already started. You can register for the same at the IIM's official website. This time IIM Lucknow is conducting the CAT exam. For GMAT, you can book a test date by registering at www.mba.com. You can choose any date and test center based on your convenience. You take GMAT once a month, five times a year. There is no limit for number of attempts for CAT or GMAT. XAT is for XLRI mainly. XLRI takes GMAT score also. So, if you take GMAT, you need not take XAT. However, if you take both, XLRI will consider best of two. CAT and GMAT cover most of the top institutes both in India and abroad.
