Xavier General Management Aptitude Test (XGMT) is an online exam conducted by Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB). The entrance test is a gateway for admission to various MBA programs offered at The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). A list of the MBA programs offered is as follows:

XAT 2018 Summary
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is national-level management aptitude test. It is conducted by Xavier School of Management, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) - Jamshedpur.
XLRI conducts the exam on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT scores are used by more than 800 institutes for admission to MBA, PGDM and other management courses.
XLRI Jamshedpur offers the following management programmes:
Business Management (BM)
Human Resource Management (HRM)
Global Business Management(GBM)
General Management Programme (GMP)

The four sections in XAT 2018 are:Quantitative AbilityEnglish Language & Logical Reasoning Decision Making GK & Essay
CAT, SNAP and CMAT don't have decision making section and essay. Decision-making section consists of questions based on case studies where candidates are required to give their opinion. Considering the difficulty level of XAT, other MBA exams like SNAP, CMAT and MAT are often considered easier than XAT.
Keeping the above in mind, here are few tips for XAT 2018:
1. Make a strategy and stick to it. Don't deviate from your study plan.
2. Do not start preparing with any section you wish to. First, analyse your previous exam /mock test results and focus on your weak sections.
3. The different sections in this exam are decision making (DM) and essay writing. DM is both scoring as well as easy. But if you are attempting it for the first time, it may make a difference to your score. So, practice this section from XATs last year question papers and mock tests to build confidence.
4. To score in general knowledge section of XAT exam one has to keep an eye on the happenings in the business world. Read newspapers, stay in touch with online blogs and watch the national and international news. Here are few tips to score in GK section.
5. Essay writing is not that basic. The essay needs to be coherent and crisp. Students are judged not only for their writing style but also for thoughts expressed. This sections can be improved by reading and writing.
