The following are the requirements for admission to the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi's MBA program:
A bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent from an accredited university with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for restricted categories) is the minimum educational requirement.
admission Exam: XAT, CAT, CMAT, or GMAT are examples of recognised management admission tests in which candidates must have received a legitimate score.

The eligibility criteria for certificate courses at XISS is:
Ranchi accepts CAT scores for management programmes, the upcoming 2023-25 batch cutoff will be released soon after CAT results. In 2022 for 2022-2024 batch, CAT eligible cutoff was 60 for HR, 25 for PGDM-RM, 35 (Percentile) for PGDM-FM 35 percentile, and for the XAT also, cutoff was 60.

Xavier Institute of Social Services Ranchi offers PGDM course in four specialisations. Interested candidates can apply for the courses through online registration. Candidates are selected for the PGDM programme based on the marks secured in CAT, XAT or CMAT, followed by group discussion and a personal interview. Candidates can refer to the table below to know the weightage of different attributes for final selection:
