Choose what you love. Also look at the curriculum and the university. Pursue career in microbiology only if you get admission in a good and prestigious institute. Zoology is a core subject and hence offers a wide range of career opportunities whereas microbiology is an specific course. Although there are bright opportunities in microbiology but look for some good institute.

Few universities conduct entrance exam for admission in MSc Zoology like Delhi University while some universities enroll students on the basis of their BSc marks.

You can get admission in various courses through NEET marks. Those marks will definitely help you to become a doctor. If due to some reason you can't able to become a doctor, you can opt for teaching or research background. Or you can work in corporate sector, they will definitely pay you good income if you were hard-working. Go for B.Sc.

Hi. Cutoffs may range from 95- 93% in top ten colleges and go down even to 80s thereafter in some colleges. It totally depends on the college of your choice.
