If the letter of approval is present, then the university or college is UGC approved. If you can't find the letter of approval then refer to the official website of University Grant Commission (UGC). Then check wether the particular college or university is recognized by it or not.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc. Microbiology of ANUCDE is given below.
Eligibility : B.Sc with Micro Biology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Agriculture/Aquaculture/ Pharmacy/ Medical Lab Technology/ Biotechnology/ veterinary Science.
So from above B.Sc. Nursing students are not eligible for the M.Sc. Microbiology of ANUCDE.

Hello Bhavya, your ranking at about 33000 in the entrance exam for engineering conducted by the state of Andhra Pradesh is reasonably good. I feel that with this ranking you should get admission in the desired branch except perhaps CSE.
