Although earlier AIIMS used to conduct its own entrance exam, but it was scrapped in 2020. AIIMS Raipur admission process 2026 is based on an entrance exam for most courses. AIIMS Raipur is amongst the sixth AIIMS healthcare institutes that came into existence due to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the scheme called Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY).
Apart from MBBS, other PG Courses offered by AIIMS Raipur include full-time MD/MS, MDS, MPH and PG Diploma Courses; super specialty level includes DM/MCh; doctorate level includes Post Doctorate Certification Course (PDCC) and PhD.
