Alagappa University MBA course admission is entrance-based. Aspirants can participate in the entrance exam conducted by the university or national-level exams. Some of the national-level exams accepted by the university are CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/TANCET. Candidates shortlisted based on exam score need to go through group discussion and personal interview round. Further, it is also crucial that the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility criteria, i.e., a Bachelor’s degree with a 50% aggregate. Eligible candidates can further apply through the university official website. The final seat allotment is done through counselling round.

For BSc in Physical Education admission, the applicant shall have passed the exam with 40% (35% for reserved category) aggregate with proficiency in sports. The upper age limit for admission to BSc (Catering Science and Hotel Management) is 21 years. Students must check eligibility conditions carefully before admission form filling. The relevant documents also have to submit at the time of admission.

The cutoff varies every year as it depends upon factors, such as number of applicants, the highest score, and seat intake. In 2023, the last round percentage for the All-India category candidates was 70.8, which was 7.8 points more than the 2022 cutoff. Hence, the exact cutoff marks cannot be predicted. However, it can be around the aforementioned cutoff marks.
