The last date to apply for AUAT for admission to MSc at Aliah University is April 20, 2025. MSc course admission at the university is based on candidates' performance in the AUAT exam. For Aliah University BBA admission, the university accepts the scores of entrance examinations called AUAT, followed by counselling. The Aliah University Admission Test, or AUAT, is conducted by Aliah University, Kolkata, to offer students admission into an integrated BBA+MBA course. For admissions to this course, the AUAT syllabus comprises of basic mathematics, verbal and nonverbal reasoning, commercial arithmetic, and elementary knowledge of the area of study.  

The name of the entrance exam for the Aliah University MA course is the Aliah University Admission Test. AUAT is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test), and the duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours. Candidates have to register themselves online on the official website of Aliah University to fill out the AUAT application forms. Candidates must follow the AUAT exam pattern and revise the AUAT syllabus for the AUAT exam. 

The university does offer a BBA course. However, AU Kolkata does not offer a BBA (Hons) course. The university offers a BBA+MBA integrated course for the duration of five years, divided into ten semesters. If candidates exit the programme after six semesters/three years, they will get a three-year BBA degree. Hence, the university does not offer a BBA course alone. 

Aliah University does have MA seat reservations for students belonging to the special category. The seat reservation policy is as per the government of the state for special category candidates. Around 4 % of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the PC/PwD category, and 5% of seats fall under the disability reservation. 

Yes, Aliah University does offer BA courses for the duration of three years, divided into six semesters, and offered in full-time mode. Additionally, for admissions to these courses, candidates are required to complete their basic eligibility criteria, which states candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Further, the selection process is based on candidates' valid scores in the AUAT in-house university entrance exam.  

The total number of seats offered in the MA course at Aliah University is 485 (this is for nine specialisations of MA). On the other hand, the total number of available seats in the MA course at Jadavpur University is 592. Therefore, the Jadavpur University offers the maximum number of seats for MA courses. To get admission into the Jadavpur University MA course, candidates are selected on the basis of  performance in the CUET-PG.

The eligibility criteria for admissions to MA courses at Aliah University is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree in the same subject; for example, if candidates want to get admissions into MA in Geography, they are required to complete their BA in Geography with a minimum aggregate of 45%. The selection is based on the candidates achieved scores in AUAT (the Aliah University Admission Test).
