BITS Pilani - Birla Institute of Technology and Science Answered Questions

BITS Pilani Goa admission to the ME course is entrance-based. The institute accepts multiple entrance exams including GATE, and GPAT. Candiates without the entrance score can go for the in-house entrance exam BITSHD. Once the candidates become qualified, they are invited to participate in the BITS HD counseling process for further admission into the courses offered by the participating institutes. Candidates who are shortlisted for admission will have to report at the respective BITS campus. Here, candidates have to select BITS Goa as its admission center. Thereafter, candidates will have to confirm their admission by taking part in the document verification process and then paying their admission fee.

BITS Pilani Goa does offers BE or Bachelors of Engineering course across multiple specialisations. The BE course is equivalent to BTech course. The duration of the BTech course is four years and has a total of eight semesters.  Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, etc., are few of the BE specialisations. 

To get admission into the affiliated colleges of BITS Pilani via BITSAT, a candidate must have attained the minimum cutoff rank as per the cutoff list. The lowest closing rank has been released for B.Pharma course. The lowest cutoff rank stood at 161 for BITS Hyderabad, for the General All India category candidates.

BITS Pilani direct admission is admission offered to students without them having to appear in the BITSAT exam. Direct admission to Integrated First Degree and Higher Degree courses across the streams of Science, Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Humanities. If a candidate is a central/ state board topper, BITS Pilani offers direct admission to the specialisation of his choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. Generally, BITS Pilani admission to most of the courses is based on candidates' performance BITSAT and BITS HD entrance test. Apart from the entrance test scores, students are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility requirement set by the institute. 

The total fee is inclusive of multiple components, such as security deposit, tuition fee, and more. These components are either one-time payable or annual-wise/semester-wise. Candidates have to submit the admission fee amount as prescribed by the institute. BITS Pilani Goa ME cousre fee range from INR 9.3 Lacs to INR 10.4 lakh. The fees might vary throughout the speciaslisations candidates wants to apply in. The fees might includes multiple other fee components that must be paid once during the admission prcess. The ME fees can be  paid in advance in each semester/term on the notified dates before registration. No withdrawal from a course or courses will entitle a student to a refund of fees. 

BITS Pilani Goa campus hasn't released any BE dates for admission in 2026. The dates are usually out in June. However, candidates can refer to the dates of BITSAT 2026 for BE admission. Candidates with a valid BITSAT score become eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Engineering course. 

 BITS Pilani Goa aceepts multiple entrance exams for its ME course. The institute prepares merit lists based on candidates performance in the entrance exam. BITS Goa has good record of placements. According to the media reports, BITS Pilani has achieved 54.35% placements in the semestor 1 of the placement session 2025 across its three Indian campuses (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad). A total of 1700 students registered for the placements, of which 924 secured job offers from reputed companies. The average salary offered across the three campuses stood at INR 28.64 LPA. The top recruiters of BITS Hyderabad in 2025 include Accenture, EY, IBM, General Electric, Volvo Eicher, etc.

BITSAT registrations usually open in January every year. The application form is not out yet. The entrance exam is to be conducted in May for the first session and June for the second session.
