Many people will dislike this college because of lack of proper infrastructure.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed in our course ranged from 60% to 90%. The highest package was 90%, the lowest was 60%, and the average was 70%. The top roles offered were agriculture officer, agribusiness, agri farm, and horticulture officer.
Infrastructure: The college is in a remote area far from any developed towns or cities. The nearby villages are underdeveloped, which means that we face a wide range of problems, including network issues, lack of academic infrastructure, and poor living conditions. The college does not yet have a canteen for students, and the hostel food is only average.
Faculty: The teachers here are not very good at teaching, although a few are quite good. Most of the teachers take their jobs lightly. The semester exams are quite easy if you study properly. The college promotes practical learning by planting trees and plants to beautify the campus.

It provides good education but few teachers are experts. Administrative faculty lack quick action.
Placements: None of the students are placed in any companies. But we get an internship type of program in the 4th year of college with some amount of money. The program provides all kinds of experiences in the fields of agriculture and business that we could take up after graduation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average but clean. Classrooms are big and are equipped with smart projectors. Labs are well-equipped with all types of equipment, machines, and glassware. Wi-Fi is not available in the classroom. Medical facilities are below average. The college provides a gym for both boys and girls. Hostel facilities are average but the food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and classes are held regularly these days. The teaching of some teachers is excellent while some teachers are not. The college prepares the students for industry. The college also hosts several training programs and seminars for students. Also, top students are sent to foreign countries with a scholarship for 1-3 months training programs. The pass percentage is high.
Other: I got this course after giving my state exam. I am glad that I have chosen this course. Agriculture is vast and provides knowledge about every field be it science, social science, statistics sociology, etc. It would be better if we could get more practical skills than theoretical ones. There are very few extracurricular activities in our college. Events or fests are rare.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide placement for students. Some of the colleges that are under CAU provide placement. Our college provides an internship program for student, in which students are advised to complete their internship within 6 months of its duration.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college of food technology is not up to par. Here, the infrastructure of the college, girls hostel and boys hostel is totally the same. Recently, our college got accreditation for ICAR and they'll be building a new college soon.
Faculty: Faculty members are cooperative, kind and positive; the curriculum and exams of each semester are followed strictly. The college dean is so cooperative and kind. Each and every task is accomplished by following rules and regulations. All types of official work are done by the administrative block .

Review of College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Aizawl, Mizoram.

Satisfied because of faculty and it also comes under Central government. Placement rate is medium.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed in a good company or got government jobs. The packages depend on the job, what type of job they got, Minimum is between 3.0 LPA package and 4.7LPA. I have no idea about the recruiting companies. My course offers all the various agriculture related subjects like agronomy, soil science and plant pathology, etc. 60% students got internships.
Infrastructure: Labs, classroom and Library all are good. Free Wi-Fi available is available all over the hostel. Grounds are available that helps in gaining the practical knowledge. There is a canteen available on the campus, Mess food is good. A Health center also available on the campus. Playground, Gymnasium, Football ground, Volleyball ground are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, they are very good. All teachers are well educated and friendly to the students. Digital classroom teaching is also available. Practicals are also done. Yes, this course's curriculum is relevant.  It can make the students industry-ready, but first of all, you need experience for that.

Q:   Is M.Tech at Central Agricultural University Manipur better than Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth?
A:

It's difficult to definitively say whether M.Tech at Central Agricultural University Manipur (CAU Manipur) is "better" than Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (KKV) as both universities have their own strengths and weaknesses, and the "better" choice depends on your individual priorities and career goals.

Here's a comparison to help you make an informed decision:

Academics:

  • Specializations: CAU Manipur offers a wider range of M.Tech specializations,  including niche areas like Bioprocess Engineering and Precision Agriculture. KKV's M.Tech programs focus primarily on core agricultural engineering disciplines.
  • Faculty: Both universities have qualified faculty with expertise in their respective fields. However,  CAU Manipur might have a slight edge due to its collaborations with research institutions and international universities.
  • Entrance Exams: Both universities consider scores in national entrance exams like ICAR AIEEA and GATE for M.Tech admissions. However,  CAU Manipur might also conduct its own entrance test for certain specializations.

Placements:

  • Placement data: Neither university readily shares detailed placement statistics on their websites. However,  student testimonials and online reviews suggest that both CAU Manipur and KKV have decent placement rates,  with graduates finding jobs in government agencies,  private companies,  and research institutions.
  • Industry connections: CAU Manipur's location in Imphal might limit its exposure to certain industries compared to KKV's proximity to Mumbai and the Konkan region. However,  CAU Manipur's collaborations with research institutions and government agencies might offer unique placement opportunities.
Q:   What is the latest cutoff information for M.Tech at Central Agricultural University Manipur?
A:

Unfortunately, acquiring the latest cutoff information for M.Tech programs at Central Agricultural University Manipur (CAU Manipur) for the 2024 intake can be challenging due to a few reasons:

  • Early Application Stage: The application process for M.Tech programs at CAU Manipur typically commences around March-April of the admission year. As of today,  December 26,  2023,  the application stage hasn't begun yet. Therefore,  official cutoff scores haven't been released by the university for any M.Tech specialization.
  • Dynamic Cutoff Trends: Cutoff scores for M.Tech programs at CAU Manipur are not fixed and vary significantly year-to-year. They depend on factors like the number of applicants,  difficulty level of entrance exams,  and available seats for each specialization.
  • Limited Online Information: CAU Manipur might not publicly release detailed historical cutoff data or admission statistics for their M.Tech programs on their website. This makes it difficult to directly access past year's cutoff trends.
