Fisheries Science programs are not typically included in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in India. NEET is an entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and some other related programs in government and private medical colleges across the country. Fisheries Science programs are usually offered by Agricultural universities or specialised institutes, and the admissions process for these programs may involve separate entrance exams or direct admissions based on merit in relevant subjects.
No, ICAR AIEEA is not the only entrance exam conducted by colleges for BFSc admission. There are many colleges across the country that accept CUET, MHT CET, etc. exam scores as well.
NTA will commence the CUET registrations 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in tentatively in first week of March. Candidates can fill the online CUET application form online on official website when released. Candidates will be able to enter the personal, educational and CUET subject details to appear for the exam. Candidates must pay the CUET application fee to complete the registration process.
As per the MHT CET exam information brochure, the difficulty level of MHT CET exam is similar to JEE Mains. Candidates are thus advised to prepare by keeping in mind that the questions in MHT CET will be of the same difficulty level as JEE Main. However, the syllabus of MHT CET is very less in comparison to JEE Main.
As per previous years' statistics, the application numbers are increasing each year, and therefore, students need to buckle up to prepare for the competitive exams.
To get an idea based on the previous year's statistics, students must know that if they want to score well, it should be more than 400 marks, then 370 marks is also good, the average score is 300, and the below-average score is less than 300. However, these scores are based on the difficulty level of this exam, and this has nothing to do with students' capability as individuals.
