DAVV has two libraries, Central Library in Takshasila Parisar and H.S. Kamat Student Home Library in Nalanada Parisar. Both serve research and educational needs, offering computers, centralised air-conditioning, etc. There are 10 reading rooms with a combined seating capacity of 500 students. The entire library is Wi-Fi enabled with a vast collection of books, journals, reference materials, video lectures, and e-journals.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Highlights 2025

DAVV formerly known as the University of Indore is accredited with A + Grade by NAAC. The institute was established in 1964 by the Act of the Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. The university, through around 239 colleges and various schools of study, offers UG, PG, and other courses to students across Computer Engineering, Journalism, and various other streams. The university also provides open and distance learning courses to the students. Devi Ahilya University is approved by AICTE.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is ranked 101-150 by the NIRF 2024 under the University (Overall) category. Located in Indore, DAVV has also started the Self-supporting courses in the country. Out of its 37 schools and centres of study, 20 schools are known to offer courses on a self-supporting basis. Every year, the university provides education to nearly 10,500 students enrolled in regular courses and nearly 1,000 students enrolled in distance education mode.

The university also provides one of the best facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate course students. It has more than 23,450 PhD theses, 6 lakh books, 8,965 e-books, and various e-journals on several subjects. Counselling, career guidance, and placement-related needs are fulfilled through the Career Counselling and Opportunities Guidance Cell, Placement Cells, Equal Opportunity Cell, and Alumni Cell. Q: What's the DAVV admission process for MBA?

IMS DAVV M. B.A. admissions are offered based on CMAT scores, for this, it gets mandatory for M. B.A. aspirants to sit for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). For M. B.A. Candidates must fill DAVV Indore online application form on the official website of DAVV Indore. DAVV has scrapped its Common Entrance Test (DAVV CET) for UG and PG courses. Admission to these courses will now be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA. For PG admission (under DAVV CET), students are required to apply for the CUET PG 2023 on the official website. Candidates must appear for DAVV CET. Candidates must appear for the counselling session for the final seat allotment. If you are willing to take admission can apply for any of the specializations online. Placements: In our college placement facilities are not too good. Almost 20% of students get placed in this course. The lowest salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are Help Foundation, corporate social responsibility departments, some private and government hospitals, finance and IT companies. Around 75% of students get internships. Top courses of our college are BSW and MSW.

Infrastructure: Our classes are well maintained and spacious. Along with proper ventilation and windows. Laboratories are in our college. The library is well stocked with books and magazines. The college has a sports ground and an auditorium for extracurricular activities and events. Wi-Fi is also available for staff and students.

There was a medical facility and a lift facility. Best college for your bachelors degree. The best part was its location which was very convenient to go anywhere, its in three marketplaces.

Faculty: Teachers were very good. All teachers were like friends and the best part was that teachers were punctual in classes. They were well qualified and good at their work. They were very good at understanding some point in that manner which you never know also happens.

This college is not good, and students are not friendly.

Placements: There is a very low chance that students will be placed in the course. There are 1 to 2 companies that recruit students. Only 10 to 11 percent of students get placement. They give false statements about placements, but they do not provide them.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in our college and classrooms are okay. We have a sports room in the basement, but they keep it closed all the time. There are no facilities available for a hostel, and the college is very small. They give knowledge in seminars. Our college conducts seminars for knowledge.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and teach well. They do not provide any material for home like books and PDFs on phones. The semester exams are good, and teachers are good. Nobody cheats in the exam room, but they do not make the students industry ready.

Other: I chose this course to become SI in the police department. There is no crowd in college, and students are not interested in coming to college. The events for physical activity are not conducted at college.

Faculty members are good, and the student crowd is smaller.

Placements: In my college, the placement situation is average. In a year, only around four to five companies visit the campus, and most of them are small or mid-level firms. There are currently no major or well-known companies coming for recruitment. The college does provide some support and guidance, but overall, placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly have to look for jobs on their own, as well as work from home jobs are not available.

Infrastructure: All are available, but some are more required, and the college is neither large nor small. College is friendly in nature, and all programs and events are held, and every festival is celebrated. All Wi-Fi, the classrooms, and the library are good, and no ragging is there.

Faculty: My college faculty here is good, supportive, and knowledgeable. Most teachers explain topics clearly and are approachable whenever we need help. The curriculum is relevant and covers important concepts well, though a little more practical exposure could make it even better. Exams are fair and manageable if you study regularly. Overall, everything is good, and the experience is quite decent, and all faculty members are friendly in nature.

Other: The student crowd is too low on campus, and the scholarship is 50 percent on the Rs. 14,000 fee, and I'm an SC student.

Really good and teachers are very good.

Placements: Most of the students get good placements. About 60 percent of students get good placements. Package depends on your work (4 LPA - 5 LPA average package). Roles offered are corporate lawyer, civil judges, legal advisory, and also an accountant do company management.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are big. It also has a huge library and computer lab. Canteen is expensive. We have a central library where many books are available on law. Infrastructure is too good, it's under construction. There is a big playground. Indoor games are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Kind nature teachers are always ready to help and solve all doubts of students. I will give the exam in November because I am 1st semester student. Till now, there has been no difficulty in the test, it's easy to answer.

Other: It is a nice campus connected with nature. I chose BBA LL.B. because I like to study.

Q: Does DAVV have hostel facility?

Yes, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. A total of 12 on-campus hostels are available, out of which 6 hostels are for boys and 6 hostels are for girl students. Separate accommodation facilities are also available for working faculty and teaching staff. DAVV hostels are well-furnished with beds, study tables and chairs, cupboards, fans, etc. All the hostel buildings are wifi enabled and can be used by students, faculty and non-teaching staffs. All the hostels are supervised by wardens to enforce rules and regulations. Rooms are typically twin-sharing, and students need to complete a hostel accommodation request form to apply.

DAVV has two libraries, Central Library in Takshasila Parisar and H.S. Kamat Student Home Library in Nalanada Parisar.
