Q: Does DAVV have a central library facility?

DAVV has two libraries, Central Library in Takshasila Parisar and H.S. Kamat Student Home Library in Nalanada Parisar. Both serve research and educational needs, offering computers, centralised air-conditioning, etc. There are 10 reading rooms with a combined seating capacity of 500 students. The entire library is Wi-Fi enabled with a vast collection of books, journals, reference materials, video lectures, and e-journals.

DAVV - Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya 2026 admissions are now open for UG and PG courses. Interested candidates can apply through the official website to the preferred course.

The GPAT 2026 application form for admission to the MPharma course is expected to be released during the first week of April 2026.
For the CUET PG 2026, the last date to submit the application form is Jan 20, 2026 for admission to several PG courses, and the exam will be conducted in March 2026.
CUET 2026 registration process has started for admission to several UG courses. Candidates can fill out the application form until Jan 31, 2026. The CUET exam 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Highlights 2026

DAVV formerly known as the University of Indore is accredited with A + Grade by NAAC. The institute was established in 1964 by the Act of the Legislature of Madhya Pradesh. The university, through around 239 colleges and various schools of study, provides UG, PG, and other courses to students across Computer Engineering, Journalism, and various other streams. The university also provides open and distance learning courses to the students. Devi Ahilya University is approved by AICTE.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya is ranked 101-150 by the NIRF 2024 under the University (Overall) category. Located in Indore, DAVV has also started the Self-supporting courses in the country. Out of its 37 schools and centres of study, 20 schools are known to offer courses on a self-supporting basis. Every year, the university provides education to nearly 10,500 students enrolled in regular courses and nearly 1,000 students enrolled in distance education mode.

The university also provides one of the best facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate course students. It has more than 23,450 PhD theses, 6 lakh books, 8,965 e-books, and various e-journals on several subjects. Counselling, career guidance, and placement-related needs are fulfilled through the Career Counselling and Opportunities Guidance Cell, Placement Cells, Equal Opportunity Cell, and Alumni Cell. For DAVV MBA admissions, the university offers MBA through its affiliated colleges for which the MPMET scores are accepted. Other than that, DAVV also accepts CAT scores to shortlist candidates for the GD/PI round.

Good college environment with decent fees.

Placements: 40 percent of students got placed from this course. 12 LPA is the highest package, and the average package is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. LNT, Lodha, and Tata Group companies came to the college for the placement. 50 percent of students got internships. Mostly roles offered by companies are civil engineer officer.

Infrastructure: The campus of the college is good, with well-built buildings constructed, and a good atmosphere, all greenery is present. Wi-Fi labs and libraries are well-managed. Classrooms a are decent. Hostel facility available for the students. Boys' and girls' hostels are separate. Mess and canteen football decent. You can play sports and games in your free time.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful by nature. Teachers are knowledgeable, but they are not too experienced, their teaching quality is good. This course is not fully relevant for the industry-ready. Exams are organised by the RGPV, so they are a little bit difficult. 30-35 percent of marks is enough to pass.

Other: My big brother is also doing this course and they are highly valued in the big company, so they recommended that I do this course. Hostel food was my wish that would be better. Events and fests happen in the college rarely. Scholarship is provided by the government in this college. The campus is connected by the main Indore Ichchapur highway, with no issues of transport.

Placements: 40 percent of students got placed from this course. 28 LPA is the highest package, and the average package is 8 LPA. Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, and Google companies came for the placement in this course. 50 percent of students got internships from this course in local tech companies.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good, but it is far away from the main Indore city. Wi-Fi, labs, and libraries are present. Classrooms are decent. Girls' and boys' hostels are available in this college for the students. The taste of the hostel food is very decent. Canteen food is good. Sports and games you can play in college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and polite in nature. They are knowledgeable and experienced. Teaching quality is good. I am in 1st year, so I don't know whether the course is ready for the industry or not. Semester exams in this college are a little bit difficult, you have to study for the exam one month in advance. 30-35 percent marks are enough to pass.

Other: All my friends do JEE preparation, so I also do. My marks are not too good, that's why I only got into a government college, I got in counseling. Events and fests happen in the college. The campus crowd is very good. Students are very helpful. Seniors do not take ragging. This is a government college scholarship provided by the government.

My life at the IET DAVV Indore (Madhya Pradesh).

Placements: I am currently in the 1st semester, so I don't know too much about placements, but I can say that placements are not too good in our college as compared to NITs and IIITs. The highest package offered is 39 LPA, which was offered in the year 2023. The average package offered is around 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, a library, etc., are available.

Faculty: Faculty members are extraordinary. They have a good sense of humour, so they can make us laugh. They do not insult anyone to make us laugh. They are just good human beings. There are 4 exams per semester, 3 MSTs, and one end-semester exam. The best of 2 out of 3 will be taken as a result of MST. I am currently in the first semester of the Information Technology course. My course is about the IT sector, and I know the value of that. Our faculty members are good at teaching and friendly with students like us who didn't get the lecture the first time.

Other: Students should join it only if they are not getting a better college than this.

This is the best college in Indore and it is run by RGPV University.

Placements: A batch of IT students around 70 percent of students, are placed through on campus and off campus opportunities. The college provided basic placement support including aptitude training and Interview preparation. Top recruiting companies for our course included TCS, Infosys, Capgemini and Wipro. The highest package I do not know but the average package is for 4 to 5 LPA. Roles in software development, web development and cybersecurity.

Infrastructure: There is no internet in the college and there is no hostel. The canteen is also average and the food there is also average. There is a Wi-Fi facility but it is not for the students, only for the faculty. Campus B is average, not very big, it is normal.

Faculty: There are many teachers but some are good and some are not. The college curriculum is good but the students do not follow it. Semester difficulty is normal and on average 70 percent of students pass. Semester exams are conducted as per the RGPV University and they decide the papers.

Placements: Placement record of Acropolis Institute of Management Studies and Research is good. A good number of students are placed with an average package of 4 LPA and the highest package of 8 LPA in trainee positions. TCS, WNS, Deloitte, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Piramal, Rini Life Sciences are some of the companies where students are placed.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the college are excellent. Classrooms are well-managed and clean, including whiteboards and projectors. A central library is there with relevant books for courses. Wi-Fi facility is available, and computer labs for different departments with science labs are also there. Along with 2 canteens with a variety of food items.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable, with very good problem-solving skills. Course curriculum covers the theoretical part along with internships included as part of the curriculum. With extra skills and certification courses, students can become industry-ready. The level of exams is easy, not so hard.

Other: I chose this course for exploring varieties of subjects. There are 60 students in each batch with different subject combinations, which gives students an advantage to pursue a career in their respective chosen fields. Lots of events and extracurricular activities are conducted in college at regular intervals for students.
