Review of Fakir Mohan University - FMU.

Placements: Placements are not up to the mark, but the students and teachers work hard to get us placed. The salary offered is 50,000 per month. The students prefer the teaching profession and some work in the corporates and banks. 20% of students got internships.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. It has good labs, and 24/7 Wi-Fi is available around the campus. The library is available round the clock. The classrooms have projectors. The teachers come with their laptops to explain through PPTs.

Faculty: The college has good faculty members. There are two renowned professors, two associate professors, some guest faculty and visiting faculty. They all are well-qualified and have good subject knowledge. Their teaching quality is good. The education provided here will help me in my career.

Other: The communication facilities are not good. So, I feel it must be improved.

Its is about my M.Com days in Fakir Mohan Autonomous College.

Placements: Campus placements usually don't come to our college. Even if one or two companies come, they don't offer very high package. The package offered is 1.2 LPA. The cut-off for M.Com is a little bit high. Students getting an average of 68% may get a chance to study in our college.

Infrastructure: FM college has good infrastructure. They are buildings more hostels for students. The labs have adequate components to study and research. There is no Wi-Fi facility, and canteen facility is available in our college. The college has a separate library and study room with more number of books. Now the infrastructure is developing.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and clear our doubts whenever we ask. Teaching is good. You don't need any additional tuition for any subjects. But for M.Com we don't get any other knowledge like how to work in a company because there is no internship.

Other: I choose M.Com because I wanted to work as an accountant for a big company. Commerce was always my choice. I think our college should introduce internship for every student from which they can learn a lot. There is a scholarship available in Odisha, and I got scholarship two times during my M.Com from Odisha government. Fest and events are part of every student life. We have enjoyed a lot during the function of college, which is held every year.

I'm highly satisfied with my decision to take admission in this college.

Placements: Around 5-7 companies visit the campus every year to offer placement opportunities. Around 30-40 students get placed every year. Even I got placed by qualifying in a written test and a personal interview. Placements in our college are very impressive as the salary packages offered are really good.

Infrastructure: Our campus is huge. We also have a big library and a huge playground. We also have a gym available on the campus. The Wi-Fi network not available in all the places, and it's accessible only in some parts of the campus. There is a canteen available here, but the quality of the food is not that good there.

Faculty: Our teachers are excellent. They are the best in their profession, and our HOD love and respect all the teachers. They are very helpful and kind. They treat us like their own children. One can understand the concepts taught by them very easily.

Other: Students don't face any issues with the connectivity as the college is situated in the heart of Balasore town. Our college has been improving with each passing year. The annual fest organised here was the other attraction of this college. Well-known people visit the campus every year, and they teach students good lessons about life.

Dissatisfied with placements on the campus.

Placements: The placements are not that appealing. Around 30% of my seniors got placed on the campus. Around 1-2 companies visited our campus like ICICI Bank, etc., and they offered sales jobs. I'm completely satisfied with the placement cell. The salary offered is around Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. The placement cell is not efficient and useful.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. The classrooms and library are properly managed. The lab is not well-equipped. The hostel rooms are well-built, and they are clean and spacious. I faced issues relating to computer laboratory. There are medical facilities. Every year, annual sports day is organised, and instruments and equipment are provided for the students.

Faculty: The faculty members are qualified, knowledgeable, helpful, and young. The teaching quality is good. Faculty members are less in number. There is no industry exposure. The seminars are conducted for the students. The course curriculum is useful. Faculty members are even outsourced for giving specialised subjects. Regular classes are also conducted.

The best college among all other the colleges in Odisha.

Placements: Every year, at least 3 to 4 companies visiting the campus to choose the best out of all students for a better career opportunity, and the students are placing all over India and developing their personal growth. Averagely, 40 to 50% of the students are placing at the salary package of 2.5 lacs per annum in different companies like TCS, Emami, Birla Tyres, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure on the campus is good, and there are many buildings for the students to explore things which they like to do. The classroom environment is good because of the faculty members as they put their whole experiences to provide the best for the students. The whole campus is big and out of the township so that a student can study peacefully. The college bus is always available for the students for better transportation. The canteen is good, but it could be better in future.

Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable and experienced that they can say what a student think in mind once looking at a student. Most of the faculty members are too close to students, and I love that in them. If anything stuck in the mind of anyone, then they can easily ask them for a solution, and they are always with the students.

Other: The whole campus is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. Every year, the annual sports and the annual fest are organised in college. Welcome to freshers and farewell to elders are also conducted on the campus, which are the good memories here.

A best place to purse your dream in Bhadrak as a commerce student.

Placements: Around 55% of the students were pursuing their Master degree in Commerce. As the Statistics itself suggests that such an overwhelming response from the students must be attracted owe to the package offered. Among the packages, the highest was 10lakhs/annum. And when it comes to average it's around 6 Lacs per annum. TCS was the major recruiting agency. Around 80 percent of students did get a placement under the campus.

Infrastructure: The sole objective of our institution is to ensure maximum up to date facilities like smart classes, Wi-Fi facilities, Labs, etc. It includes a library which comprises adequate numbers of books ranging from literature to Science, from politics to bureaucracy. When it comes to hostel it's outer as well as inner outlook is surely an eye catching one. One cannot find any possible faulty thing done here. Staffs are very friendly to us. It also posses a medical store to provide immediate medications to the needy ones. As far as the sports and cultural activities are concerned, every possible steps has been taken to arrange regulae tournaments and various competition.

Faculty: Teachers were extremely talented and the way they teach is just beyond imagination. Even the toughest Maths of the books can be understood with one time explanation. As far as the curriculum is concerned, it held every possible aspects of the modern day commerce which would be beneficial in every sphere of life. Semesters are conducted in a fair and competent manner so that true talent and intelligence can be brought into the front.

Other: As one of my childhood dreams was to become a CA I did this M.Com course here in this college. By the ways, it's such an institution which provides the best teaching style in the entire district. Other aspects like campus surrounding, scholarship, connectivity were above the marks.
