M.Sc. in Bioinformatics - Batch of 2027
4.0
A good college for life science department.
Placements: Placement is really good. Many industries visit the college for placement, especially during our internship. Their recruitment is based on our performance. Suppose they had a vacancy in the company after the completion of your internship, and if you performed well during your internship, they would permanently recruit you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay but not at the best level. There are facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, library, etc. The major disadvantage is that they don't open the classroom until the teacher comes, so we have to wait outside until the teacher arrives. Even we don't have any place or desk to sit. Canteen food is okay, but I think it is a little pricey, we don't get budget-friendly options.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, but not all. Actually, 70 marks is internal, and only 30 is external, so there is no writing method only typing it is difficult. It will definitely help in our future, as we are really experiencing real-world practical experiences.
Other: I chose this field because I wanted to work in a dry lab, and I love programming. We can find out the results quickly, not like wet labs where we have to wait too many hours and days to get results. We can use coding and AI/ML to find out the result, so it's quicker and easier. Be an expert in basic programming, AI, ML, etc. There are a lot of fests going on the campus.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2028
4.0
The college is really good and neat. The campus is beautiful.
Placements: Right now, the first batch from college is in their last semester, they are not placed at any company, and the internships are going on for them, or they are under an internship. I don't know what to expect for our batch. Right now, we are in the 4th semester, and ours is the 3rd batch of the engineering department.
Infrastructure: We have well-structured labs and classrooms with smartboards, which help the students to learn. The infrastructure of the college is really good, and the food in the mess is good. They provide hands-on guidance to the students for the particular problems suffered by the students.
Faculty: Teachers help a lot to understand the concept and provide guidance about the projects brought by the students. It helps a lot in understanding the concept deeply. It makes the students ready for the upcoming world, which is competitive. It makes the students face the problems easily and solve them.
Other: This course made me choose because the world is on technology, so I wanted to build the future, and I chose it. Sometimes, when it comes to studies, it should improve a bit. The curriculum, events, and crowd are really good in the college.

B.Sc. (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics) - Batch of 2019
5.0
Good infrastructure and supportive faculty, but limited industry exposure in Biotechnology.
Placements: B.Sc. Biotechnology, 2019-2022 batch, Garden City University, Bangalore. Bharat Biotech, Cipla, Med Genome, Stand Life Science, and Life Cell recruited. Lab Technical, Research Assistant, Bioinformatics Analyst, and Microbiologist roles were offered. The highest salary was around Rs. 18,000 per month, and the lowest salary was Rs. 12,000 per month. 40-50% got internships in science related to the biotech programme.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, lab, classroom, library, canteen, and security were good, with 24/7 guards, and CCTV coverage with a biometric system was available. There was housekeeping, laundry support, and hot water for bathing. Individual lockers for valuables were provided. The hostel mess offered multiple meals daily.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful with studies and friendly too. Their teaching quality was good with a balanced focus on both theoretical concepts and practical knowledge. This course covered important subjects like Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Genetics. Exams were not difficult. 35% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Biotechnology, because I was interested in Science research and Biology. The best things about the course were the hands-on laboratory, which helped in understanding concepts through real experiments rather than just theory. More skill-based and certification programs, and a greater focus on research projects and innovation can be improved.

M.Sc. in Forensic Science - Batch of 2025

Teachers of sharp mind to explain any thesis from scratch.
Placements: The university accepts various internships offered by top organizations around Bangalore. As of now, since the establishment of the university, forensic-based companies like Eurofins ESC IT DC, Palo Alto Networks, Grant Thornton, and Nexarcane Forensic and Technology Pvt. Ltd. are promising recruiters.
Infrastructure: Garden City University was established in late 2013, but it had a quick pickup and is now one of the top universities in Bangalore. There are no obligations for master’s students in compelling them to stay in the college hostel. Master’s students are simply checked during class hours only.
Faculty: It covers various topics like forensic physics, chemistry, biology, etc. The teachers handling the forensic science course are experts in handling crime scene investigations, DNA analysis, and other fingerprint analysis. They are sharp-minded enough to explain any thesis from scratch, even from deep sleep.

I'm really very satisfied with the college, the teachers are very good and friendly.
Placements: There are many roles that have been offered, like a senior engineer or cyber security analyst from any top company. Placement opportunities are also going on very well. Top companies are visiting the college and they are selecting students who are eligible.
Infrastructure: The courses and hostel offered by our college are really very good. We have high-speed Internet, Wi-Fi connection, the library is clean and there are many books we can find, and the classrooms are clean enough with smart technologies, ACs, and good infrastructure.
Faculty: Our exams also go on well. Faculty members are very helpful and friendly. Exams are conducted online. Everything is conducted online in smart computers and PCs. We don’t have pen and paper exams. Everything is monitored very strictly so that none of the students can cheat in the exam.
Other: The course which I have taken is really good. We mainly focus on Cyber Security, that is, hunting and finding vulnerabilities. There are very good opportunities in industries, as in the market nowadays AIML and Cyber Security are in lead. They help us get good posts and find good opportunities.

Very satisfied and can be better at taking students out for exceptions or any events.
Placements: 70 to 80 percent get placed every year and a lot of opportunities from different companies through the various programs they conduct and for 2023 162 placed out of 463. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ITC limited etc are the top major companies students get placed in.
Infrastructure: Good library. The university has Wi-Fi and smart classrooms with AC, but the issue is that students are not allowed to use the lifts. For example, if a classroom is on the 4th floor, students are required to use the stairs, which is very tiring and unfair. Sometimes there is a power cut, but it lasts only for a short time. Within a few minutes, the power is restored so that the smart board and fans are turned on again for both students and faculty.
Faculty: Good teachers and faculty members are very helpful and supportive and guide us through good path and motivate us to become what we want to become and focus on that pituitary energy. If the students want to share aunt information and the students need the help of faculty they are very much looking for it.
Other: Great college with a good environment.

Is Garden City University worth it in the Garden City?
Placements: Placements here don't satisfy me much. We have to find internships and everything on our own. I have not yet reached the placement stage so cannot say much as of now. I don't really keep any hope to be very honest. It is all in our hands.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, it's decent. It has a lot of open space and greenery. It depends on how we look at it. The food court offers a variety of options. Our blocks keep changing every semester. Some have been good, and some have not been good. The latest 4th-semester block which my department has got is not good, and it's on the 4th floor. The floor is completely paced. There is no open space with small and congested rooms. It can make us feel claustrophobic.
Faculty: Faculty members depend on luck. Some semesters/courses may be good, and some may not. The course curriculum is just fine I would say. It has started a new system of exams. The preparatory exams go in a viva mode and finals go in online mode where we have to take exams in the labs on the college portals.
Other: I chose this course because I found it interesting. I have to say this unfortunately, some teachers actually do not know how to behave. When there are issues raised for the same, there is no prompt solution. Hope the management looks at this. Events are good. We have a freshers event for freshers who join every year. We have an annual college fest called Gardenia which goes on for 3 days. Days like these are actually fun.

The college has good infrastructure and supportive faculty members which make it a great choice.
Placements: In our course, nearly 70-89% of students have secured placements in top fertility clinics, with many landing roles as laboratory technicians and embryologists at competitive entry-level salaries. As part of the curriculum, all students are guaranteed internships in their final semester, providing them with hands-on learning experiences alongside experienced embryologists and gynecologists.
Infrastructure: The campus offers excellent Wi-Fi with spacious classrooms and a well-equipped library with access to books and journals. Sports include cricket, football, kabaddi, basketball with courts. Hostels are well-equipped with 24-hour hot water, Wi-Fi, medical facilities, spacious rooms, and hygienic restrooms. The canteen serves a hygienic variety of foods.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The courses are relevant aiming to get students to industry-ready by practical field visits industrial visits, and internships. Semester exams will be a little difficult but exams conducted here are different and mostly easy.
Other: The course offered relevance to gain enough knowledge to get jobs, get to learn hands-on experiences with supportive faculty members, and good infrastructure either vibrant cultural events and fests.
