The university reserved a total number of seats for BTech students, i.e., 1,254. Majority of seats are reserved for BTech in Lateral Entry, i.e., 234. As per data available, the BTech seats are reserved for ten specialisations. 

Students who have completed class 12 from state or central board are eligible to apply for the course. Apart from this, in class 12 the mathematics subject is compulsory with min 50% overall aggregate.

GIET University accepts several national and state-level entrance exams for admission to its BTech programme. Further, the university also conducts its own exam to shortlist the candidates. In order to get admission in MCA course at GIET University, students need to qualify the last exam. Apart from this,  BCA or equivalent degree with 50% aggregate from any recognised University or Institute is required. However, candidates who have completed class 12 or BA with maths, BSc, BCom or Graduation (45% aggregate in case of reserved category) are eligible for the course.

GIET Engineering Entrance Examination usually conducts from 18 Apr to 27 May for Computer Based Exam. The paper based examination will be conducts on 19 May & 26 May.
