Placements: The percentage of students placed is 92%, but this is only applicable to Computer Science students. For Mechanical students, 71% got placed. The highest package is 19 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters like TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, HighRadius, and Capgemini are for CSE students, while Jindal and JK Paper Mill are for Mechanical Engineering students.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite decent and strict. The infrastructure is quite well established for Mechanical Engineering students, and the department is very good. I don't know about other departments. Wi-Fi is available, but there are some restrictions on its use. You can't open unknown websites, and video games are blocked on the Wi-Fi for discipline and studies. Classrooms are above average. The mess was fully messed up and had garbage. As far as I know, in Odisha, except for NITs and IITs, university mess food is generally not very good.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable, some are joyful, and some are not very good. I am aware of this because in BSH (Basic Sciences and Humanities), some teachers are not well-educated. They try to provide education to us. The Mechanical course curriculum makes students industry-ready after the 3rd year (after the 5th semester). Semester exams are very difficult, and many students have 12 to 18 backlogs.
Other: I chose this course because I found it to be a future-proof course, as AI is advancing. We have a low rate of employment in the Computer Science or IT line. I think nothing is particularly good, but because of the ROI, many average students from all around Odisha come here to pursue a B.Tech degree. No special events or programs are held, except the Shrujan concert, which is held once every year.

Average package and college facilities.
Placements: Our college provides decent placements. Most students were not placed. Around 20 LPA is the highest package and 2 LPA is the lowest package. 60 percent of students got placed from our course, like last year, out of 800 placed, around 600. Top companies are visiting, but it takes students with strong communication skills and technical skills. Recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, and Wipro. 70 percent of students got internships from our course. Placement is top in our course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well maintained, and services and facilities are good. The department is well maintained. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are available for use. The hostel is good and adjustable, but the mess food may feel unsatisfactory. Sports and medical facilities are also good but paid. Also, a cafeteria is present.
Faculty: Faculty of our course is well educated and knowledgeable. They are very helpful for students, and the teaching quality is also good. Our course curriculum is absolutely relevant. It helps students to get placement and first jobs. The semester examination is not difficult, it is manageable with regular study. The semester exam passing ratio is 80 to 90 percent.

Campus details and support to choose the best university.
Placements: GIET University provides decent placement offers. Last year, 70 percent of students got placed in different companies. The highest package is 18 LPA plus but the lowest is not guaranteed, it is around 2 LPA. Here, top recruiting companies visit but for placement, you need strong communication skills and technical skill. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Paytm, etc. Internship offers are good. 60 percent is internship status. So the key to preparation is securing the best placement.
Infrastructure: GIET Gunupur has a well-maintained campus with different facilities like smart classrooms, modern labs, central library, Wi-Fi, hostel and sports facilities, and a cafeteria. The infrastructure provides the best life for students, and the services of our department are well-designed, and medical facilities are also decent.
Faculty: The faculty of our department is supportive and knowledgeable, with a mix of experienced and young teachers. It may follow the BPUT guidelines, and their teaching quality is also good. This course is most important for placement and makes student industry support. The semester examination is moderately difficult, it is manageable with regular study. 80 is the passing percentage for the semester exam.

Fees increase, but placement is still the same as in the past.
Placements: B.Ed placement offers are provided, and a decent company visits for placement. 60 percent of the students were placed in our course in the 2025 passout students. Some sources from our college the highest package is around 15 LPA and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. Every year, visiting companies like TCS, Accenture, Zscalar, Wipro, Saras, etc. Students in our course basically 70 percent may get an intern role in different companies like Saras, Highradius, Sequspace, and ByteIQ.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are good as compared to other universities because it is present locally, not like in a metro area. Services of our department are also good. One service, like Wi-Fi, is necessary for all, labs for gaining practical experience, library for study, and classrooms for academic classes. A hostel is available and service quality is also good. Hostel food quality is good but not very tasty, and a canteen is available, but it is not free. Medical facilities are also good. Sports and games facilities are also decent. Their services are also good.
Faculty: Faculty is well educated and very helpful for students. They provide the best teaching experience in our course. They try to solve all students' doubts through end-to-end interaction. This course curriculum is relevant. It helps to gain earlier placement. The semester examination is good and it is not a difficult task to appear. 80 percent is the pass percentage.

Good infrastructure but there is no placement guarantee.
Placements: Placement is not good. This college provides decent placements. 19 LPA is the highest, but the lowest salary package offered it is too low as expected, and the average package is not good. Top companies like TCS, but it came again after 2 years. Wipro hasn't come to campus, but a startup company came for placement. Many students work in companies like Saras, Zscalar, Accenture, and Infosys. Top roles are not mentioned in our course or college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is best, and the design of all departments is well-designed. Facilities and services of our course are well organised. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the central library are available, so many facilities are good here, and all are accessible to students. The hostel is decent, and mess facilities, services, and food quality are also decent. Medical services are fully structured, and one specific doctor is present for treatment. Sports and games are good, and all are decent.
Faculty: Faculty is the best according to my department. They are the best in teaching and are helpful to students. They are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant for jobs and placement, and students may get good jobs because our course is good and the most demanded course in India. The semester examination is medium-difficult. If you go through the syllabus, then it is easy to pass it. 80 percent is the passing percentage for the semester.

Really good infrastructure at University.
Placements: Around 95%of students are getting placement from this university. As per records, the highest package in our branch is 9 LPA, and the average package is around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Aveneer, etc. Different locality companies also come to hire students. It provides industrial readiness for the future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this university is just amazing, attractive, and well-known for its work culture. The Wi-Fi is available here and is free to use in each department. There is also a central library with thousands of books. The library is open 24 hours. There is also availability of sports with multiple grounds. The central mess provides acceptable food quality. A gym is available on campus for free.
Faculty: Here, the teaching faculty are excellent in teaching. Their qualifications are mostly Ph.D. holders with well-researched specializations. Their way of teaching is mostly related to practical-oriented learning. This course provides an individual with industry readiness. The semester exams are quite easy to pass, but securing a good CGPA needs hard study.
Other: I chose this course because its placement rate is good and it is available at an affordable price. I love the work culture of this university and the technical fest. Various extracurricular activities like NCC, NSS, etc. are available.
