Students with a PG degree with a minimum 50% aggregate in the relevant stream are eligible to apply to the programme at GTU. Candidates willing to get admission must take part in the Gujarat Technological University admission process before the last date of application. GTU offers admission through online mode. Students willing to get admission in any course at GTU should visit the official website of the institute. The university grants admission on the basis of merit & entrance both. Some national-level examinations are accepted by the university for admission to a few courses such as GATE, CMAT, JEE Main etc. 

UG offers various courses including B.E, B.Tech, and B.Pharma. To be eligible, students need to complete 10+2 level with at least 50% marks from a recognised board and qualify JEE Main or GUJCET.

The PG domain requires a Bachelor's degree with minimum percentage and admission is based on entrance test marks, with merit-based admission for some courses.

For the Doctoral courses, the institute offers PhD, M.Phil, Pharm.D courses in multiple specialisations. For being eligible to pursue these courses candidates are required to complete their PG courses in the related field from a recognised university. The admission will be given only if the students have secured a valid score in NET/ GSET.

Apart from these courses, the institute has a great number of Certificate & Diploma courses to offer. The admission will be given on the basis of secured merit in the past qualifying examination.
