Candidates will be able to appear for the exam in two shifts: morning and forenoon.

These exams are conducted at the national level. The national level entrance exam allows to get admission to the pharmacy institutes across the country. Admission is not limited compared to the state-level entrance exam. Below is the list of national-level pharmacy entrance exams.

1. GPAT Pharmacy Entrance Exam

GPAT or the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2026 is a national-level entrance exam that allows candidates to take admission into MPharma courses in colleges and institutes approved by the AICTE in India. GPAT 2026 is conducted by the National Testing Agency or the NTA. 

2. NIPER JEE Pharmacy Entrance Exam

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Exam 2026 or NIPER JEE, is a national-level exam which offers MPharm, MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm) and PhD in pharmacy across its seven campuses all over India. The exam is conducted by the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Guwahati. The exam duration is two hours and is conducted in English medium. NIPER JEE 2026 exam comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, and there’s a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Pharmacy State-Level Entrance Exams

There are various state-level entrance exams for Pharmacy. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to register for the entrance test. Every state-level pharmacy entrance exam's eligibility criteria shall vary. Students are advised to check the website of the exam-conducting body for valid information. Below is the list of state level Pharmacy exam.

1. Delhi CET Pharmacy Entrance Exam

Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) is a state-level entrance test. Delhi CET is conducted by the Department of Training and Technical Education, Delhi, for admissions in a diploma course in Pharmacy. Delhi CET is also known as the Delhi Polytechnic examination. The Delhi CET exam was conducted on June 13 & 14, 2026. 

2. Goa CET

The Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET) exam is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Department of Technical Education, the Goa Government, for admissions to professional degree courses in Pharmacy offered by colleges in Goa. The authority organises the GCET exam in May every year.

3. Gujarat CET

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test or the GUJCET, is held by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) for admission to degree and diploma programmes in Pharmacy across Gujarat. 

4. KCET

KCET or the Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam which facilitates admissions into B. Pharma and D. Pharma programmes across colleges in Karnataka State. KCET is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The commencement of KCET registration is expected to commence soon.

5. WBJEE

WBJEE or the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level exam which facilitates admission into B.Pharmacy courses at universities, government colleges and self-financing institutions in West Bengal. WBJEE exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB).

8. RUHS Pharmacy

RUHS Pharmacy exam is a state-level exam. The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) conducts the RUHS Pharmacy exams for admission to B. Pharma and D. Pharma programmes at its affiliated colleges across Rajasthan State. RUHS will make the online application forms available soon on its official website, ruhsraj.org. RUHS Pharmacy exam was conducted on May 21.

9. KEAM Entrance Exam

KEAM or the Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam facilitates admission in B. Pharma, B. Pharma (Lateral Entry) and M. Pharma programmes across government and private colleges in Kerala. The KEAM exam is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. The authority conducted the entrance test for Pharmacy from April 17 to 22, 2026.

10. Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test (CG PPHT)

CG PPHT, or the Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test, is a state-level entrance exam administered by Chhattisgarh Vyapam, also known as Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur. The CG PPHT exam is a gateway for students to take admission in B. Pharma, D. Pharma and M. Pharma programmes across affiliated colleges and institutions in Chhattisgarh state. CG Vyapam conducted CG PPHT on May 21, 2026. 

11. Punjab Technical University (PTU) Exam

PTU or Punjab Technical University exam is conducted by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, Punjab. PTU exam facilitates admission into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Pharmacy. The final admission is granted after the centralised counselling. Candidates can register for the exam somewhere around the fourth week of April 2026.

12. Odisha Joint Entrance (OJEE) exam

Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) is conducted by the Odisha State Government to facilitate admission into BPharma and MPharma courses across the affiliated colleges and institutes in Odisha State. OJEE Pharmacy exam was conducted on May 6, 2026.

Here are a few and well-known University-Level Pharmacy Entrance Exams for which candidates can appear this year: 

1. Jamia Hamdard Pharmacy Exam

Jamia Hamdard Pharmacy entrance test is held by Jamia Hamdard University in New Delhi. It is a deemed university. The Hamdard College of Pharmacy started the Diploma course in 1972, and it was linked with the Delhi Board of Technical Education. The BPharm course started in 1973 at the University. The MPharm courses in all four branches and the PhD programme started in 1986. Jamia Hamdard is expected to begin the registration and application process in April 2026.

2. MAHE 2026 or MET 2026

Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) is an institute under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education or MAHE formerly known as Manipal University. MCOPS offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Pharmacy. MCOPS or MAHE conducts the Manipal Entrance Test, commonly called MET 2026 for admission into B. Pharma/Pharm. D and M. Pharma programmes.

3. GITAM GAT 2026

GITAM GAT 2026 is conducted by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). GITAM GAT 2026, which is commonly known as the GITAM Graduate Aptitude Test. GITAM GAT 2026 exam is conducted for admission to MPharma programmes. For MPharma programmes, candidates who have qualified for the GPAT will be exempted from the GITAM GAT 2026. The examination is a computer-based test expected to be held in April 2026.

A score above 140 is considered to be a good score in GPAT according to the GPAT cutoff score for General category candidates. However, this score varies depending upon the GPAT cutoff for the current year. In case the cutoff touches the mark of 180 then the score of 140 is irrelevant to seek admission in top M.Pharma colleges. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for further counselling procedure at the participating institutes. Therefore, the cutoff score is the most important deciding factor to get a call for counselling from preferred institute.

Q:   Is RUHS easy or tough?

Most students find it moderate. If your Class 12 basics in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are strong, and you practice enough MCQs and previous papers, one can handle it well.
