Jigyasa University (formerly Himgiri Zee University) is a private university established in 2003. Jigyasa University Dehradun, through 8 schools of study, offers UG, PG, and PhD programmes to students. These courses are offered across the Science, Technology, Education, Journalism, Hotel and Tourism Management, Law, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Business Studies, Humanities, and various other streams. Zee University Dehradun was founded by the TALEEM Research Foundation, Ahmedabad. The university is recognised by the UGC.
Himgiri University Dehradun has 50 acre campus that is wi-fi enabled. It is the only university present in Dehradun that has a swimming pool, and separate timings for girls and boys.
