Following a DPharm from IEC University, candidates have the option to enrol through lateral entry and pursue a BPharm. For this, the candidates have to appear in top entrance examinations such as OJEE, UPSEE etc. They can also work for well-known pharmaceutical firms that handle the development, preparation, testing, and research of different types of medicines.  DPharm professionals can also choose to pursue higher education and enter the field of academics. Yes, it's possible to pursue a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) course at IEC University Solan after completing Class 12 in a non-medical stream. While some universities or colleges may prefer candidates who have studied Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), including Mathematics in their Class 12 curriculum, but IEC University accepts candidates from both PCM and PCB stream.

The total tuition fee for a DPharm course is INR 1.6 lakh. The IEC College of Pharmacy offers regular DPharm course. Additionally, the hostel fee for DPharm students is INR 1.4 Lacs (Note: Meal plan is not included in mentioned fee). The registration fee for the DPharm course is INR 1000 (one-time). Additionally, the duration of the course is two years with a seat intake of 120. The mentioned fees are taken from the official website/sanctioning body. However, it is still subject to changes.   

For the 2024 academic batch of BPharm courses, the application process begins tentatively around the month of January. The admission process initially begins after candidates submit the BPharm application form online and also make the application fee payment with RBI-approved payment access from the official website of the university. 

In recent times, a government job is more preferable than a private job. After completing a four-year BPharm degree course candidates have various options that they can pursue, such as Govt. hospital Pharmacist, Drug Inspector, Drug squad in police, Drug squad in police, Regulatory Affairs Officer, etc. To get these job roles candidates are required to qualify for government exams, such as UPSC, SPSC, SSC, etc.   

No, applicants from the Commerce stream are not eligible to pursue a DPharm at IEC University. The majority of DPharm programmes in India require applicants to have a Science background, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, at the Class 12 level. As a Commerce student, candidates may not meet the typical eligibility criteria for DPharm admission since they would not have studied the necessary Science subjects. 

The IEC University grants admission through lateral entry to the BPharm course in the third semester. The eligibility criteria to take BPharm lateral admission is candidate must pass in DPharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Yes, IEC University does offer internships to BA courses, as per the official statistics of placements it shows that 90 students get internships from the BA, BSc and MBA courses. Even the university's training and placements cell caters to all the requirements of industrial visits, training and finally the placements of all the students. However, the duration of internship periods is not mentioned on the official website of the university. 

Currently, the admission process for DPharm courses at IEC University has been concluded. However, it is anticipated that the university will soon release the admission dates for the 2025 batch, as the university has opened its inquiry portal in which candidates can register themselves by providing the basic details and can ask their doubts regarding the DPharm admissions.
