Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.
Starting early in the course, IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) students are encouraged to participate in Moot Courts, which are mock trials that simulate real courtroom environments. They will learn how to research cases, draft legal documents (pleadings), and argue before a "judge." This hands-on training helps build the confidence and public speaking skills you'll need to succeed in real courts.

While NLUs are the traditional gold standard, IIULER offers a unique advantage because it is directly managed by the Bar Council of India Trust. IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) application window opens around November or December and stays open until April or May. Please start checking the official portal around October so you don't miss the announcement. Applying early is better, as it allows you more time to prepare for the entrance test.

IIULER Goa is a prestigious college. It is acked by Bar Council of India. The institution offers international exposure and modern infrastructure. But, it is one of India's most expensive law schools. So, it depends upon the student.
