PUB has a higher placement percentage when compared to SET. It may be due to the fact that PUB offers a wider range of programs other than engineering when compared to SET. the average salary range is also higher at PUB and is in the range of 5 to 10 Lakhs per annum while SET's anerage salary range is close to 4 LPA. If you are interested in engineering streams, SET might be better suited for you as it offers diverse options of engineering branches which may appeal to your interests. In short your question has a very complex answer actually and therefore you need to be more specific like your interest in the program, future plans etc.

This does not answer the question asked as there is a huge assumption that you are talking about BTech in public colleges. The answer varies significantly based on multiple factors like the stream chosen, hostel and other facilities, categories, the specific institutions selected, and even gender. Therefore, a more specific question is to be asked including the above mentioned details.

There are several high ranking institutes in Banglore, but Banglore cannot be said to be the best in this field as there are multiple highly competitive institutions that perform very well due to variety in streams available, specialisation courses, industrial connections, higher quality education system, highly qualified faculty etc. Even then, Bangalore houses numerous well-regarded engineering and technology schools, contributing significantly to the overall national engineering education landscape. The student should actually conduct thorough research on their preferences, their interests, their compatibility, etc. to choose the most suitable stream, location and then close in on an institute after, once again, doing thorough background check on the campus, the faculty, the placement percentage etc. and then only then should they shortlist about 2-3 institutions and try for admissions.

While 70% might seem like a good score, The competition in the engineering field makes it irrelevant. the more relevant facts are the interested stream, year of admission, the difficulty in the exam, whether the applicant is reservation category or not, overall score distribution etc. It also depends on the student demographics data like performance, attendance, extracurricular activities, or it may even mean going through an interview for some institutes. So without more specific information it would be difficult to answer your question directly.
