B.Sc. in Forensic Science - Batch of 2027
3.8
4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Average campus experience with decent academics and good annual fest.
Placements: Around 65 percent of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is about 30 LPA, while the lowest is around 2 LPA. Major recruiters include SIFS India, various State FSLs, private forensic consultancies, diagnostic labs, and research organizations. About 45 percent of students secured internships in different FSLs and private laboratories. The top roles offered in our course are Forensic Expert/Analyst, Lab Assistant, Laboratory Technician, Crime Scene Investigator, Toxicology/DNA/Serology Technician, and Research Assistant, providing students with diverse opportunities in both government and private forensic sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the Forensic Science course at Jaipur National University is average. Labs for Biology, Chemistry, and Forensics are functional but not very advanced. Classrooms have projectors and basic facilities. Wi-Fi works but is inconsistent. The library has a decent but limited collection. Hostel rooms are simple with average cleanliness and maintenance. Mess food is basic and repetitive, while the canteen offers moderate-quality snacks. Medical support includes a first-aid room with referrals to nearby hospitals. Sports facilities like basketball, football, badminton, and gym exist, but maintenance and equipment are average.
Faculty: The faculty of the Forensic Science course is average. Teachers are generally helpful and qualified but the teaching quality varies and some subjects could be explained in a more practical manner. The curriculum is decent and covers the main forensic topics but it is not fully industry-ready and requires extra training or internships for better skill development. Semester exams are moderately difficult and mostly based on classroom teaching, so regular study is enough to pass. The pass percentage is fairly high around 80-90 percent making it manageable for most students.
Other: I chose this field because I was interested in crime investigation and scientific methods. The best part of the course is learning practical forensic concepts, though I wish there were more advanced instruments and better industry exposure. Campus life is average, but the main event, Technoraz, held every October for three days, is the most exciting festival with good participation. There are also interdepartmental sports tournaments that keep students engaged. The campus crowd is friendly, connectivity is decent, and scholarships and extracurricular activities are available but could be improved.

Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2026
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Helpful faculty, industry-relevant curriculum, fair exams, good placements, and active campus life.
Placements: My course is BCA, and I am from the passing-out batch of 2025. Around 60 percent of students from our course are successfully placed. The highest package is 3 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, and a few startups. About 60 percent of students received internships in reputed organizations such as Infosys, TCS, HCL, and local IT startups.
Infrastructure: Our course has well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and access to a central library with updated resources. Hostel facilities are good, with decent food. It has basic medical support and sports/games amenities. It makes students' life comfortable.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and always approachable. It makes learning smooth and effective. The curriculum is updated and industry-oriented. It helps students gain practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult but fair. The pass percentage remains high. It ensures that most students are well-prepared for future opportunities.
Other: I chose BCA as it builds a strong foundation in IT with good placement opportunities. The best part is practical exposure, events, and campus activities. I feel the course could improve with more industry tie-ups, updated labs, and advanced workshops.

Good faculty, campus, diary, and memorable events.
Placements: In our batch, around 85% of students are placed through campus recruitment drives. The highest package offered is around ₹18 LPA by a multinational technology firm, while the lowest package is approximately ₹3.6 LPA, primarily from startups and regional companies. The average package stood at ₹6.5 LPA, reflecting balanced opportunities across sectors. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Amazon, Wipro, and Cognizant, among others. These companies offered a mix of technical and management roles, depending on the students’ skill sets and interests. Approximately 75% of students secured internships, which are either on-campus or through external applications.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course and department is well-developed and student-friendly. Our classrooms are equipped with smart boards, projectors, and adequate seating, ensuring a comfortable learning environment. Wi-Fi connectivity is available across the academic blocks and hostels, helping students access digital resources anytime. The labs are well-equipped with updated software and hardware relevant to our curriculum, especially for programming, electronics, and research-based subjects. The departmental library offered a wide collection of textbooks, journals, and research publications. Apart from that, the central library is open till late and provided access to digital learning.
Faculty: Faculty for our course is generally well-qualified, experienced, and approachable. Most professors held PhDs or postgraduate degrees from reputed institutions, and many had industry or research experience, which added great value to our learning. They are supportive in clearing doubts, guiding projects, and offering mentorship for internships and placements. Teaching quality varied slightly among individuals, but the majority of the faculty used interactive teaching methods, including case studies, presentations, and lab-based learning. The curriculum is up-to-date and aligned with industry requirements. It included a balanced mix of core subjects, electives, and hands-on practicals.
Other: One of the best aspects of the course is its diverse subjects, exposure to real-world projects, and supportive faculty. We had opportunities, however, I believe there’s room for improvement in industry collaboration and training. Newer electives in emerging technologies or fields would make the course even more impactful. The campus environment was vibrant and student-friendly. We had various technical and cultural fests, with active participation from students across departments. Annual events, seminars, and inter-college competitions added to our exposure beyond academics. The campus crowd is diverse and inclusive, with a good balance of students from different regions. Connectivity to the campus is good.

Positive stone - Comprehensive learning with strong practical exposure and good campus life.
Placements: There are multiple hospitals, and they are bonded with the college for hiring the multi-talented students in large numbers so this assures students of placement safely with a good package. Those students with lower skills also have the option to work in their own college hospital which is multi-specialty.
Infrastructure: Campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring uninterrupted internet access for both academic and personal use. Sports facilities, including grounds for cricket, football, and volleyball, as well as indoor games like table tennis and carrom, encourage physical fitness and recreation. Campus also includes a clean cafeteria, medical room, and student common areas. Hostel facilities are decent and cater to both comfort and safety. Rooms are generally shared between two or three students and are adequately furnished with beds, study tables, and storage. Hostel premises are secure with 24X7 surveillance and wardens on duty. Cleanliness is well-maintained, with regular housekeeping.
Faculty: Faculty members of our course are knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to student success. Most of them hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees in their respective fields and are approachable for academic support beyond regular classes. They regularly use a mixture of traditional and modern teaching methods, including powerpoint presentations, real-life case studies, and interactive sessions, which make learning more engaging and effective. The curriculum is well-structured and aligned with the latest industry trends and academic standards. It is updated periodically to ensure relevance and includes a mixture of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.
Other: I belong to the 2022-2025 batch of the B.Sc. operation theatre and anesthesia technology course. I chose this course due to my strong interest in the medical field and the hands-on role OT technologists play in surgical procedures and patient care. The combination of technical skill, patient support, and teamwork with surgeons and anesthesiologists makes it both challenging and rewarding. One of the best aspects of this course is its practical training.
