Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia is not only a government university and open to the public it is a Central Public Research University which is a prestigious recognition with only 57 Central Universities in all of India. The mode of application for Jamia Millia Islamia admissions is mostly online for most courses. As students must apply through the university page after they complete the eligibility requirements. Though some courses do have offline admissions but is limited for a small amount of seats compared to the total seat intake.

Jamia Millia Islamia will release the answer key for all offered courses, a few days after the entrance exam is conducted. The university mentions the tentative days gap between exam date and result date in its JMI exam schedule. As per last year, JMI typically releases result after three working days at admission.jmi.ac.in.

The BTech fees at Jamia Millia Islamia depends on the specialisation and type of course chosen with the self-financed seats at the university having comparatively higher fees. Among these specialisations most have annual fees of generally INR 19,225 while the Self-financed courses have fees of around INR 1,52,875 to INR 1,54,900.

JMI JEE Main Cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the BTech programme. The JMI CUET PG Cutoff 2025 has been published till Round 3 for all students belonging to the All India quota. For the General category candidates under the All India quota, the cutoff ranged from 185 to 13.75, wherein the hardest and the easiest course were MA in Visual Effects and Animation and M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, respectively. For the PWD AI category, the cutoff in the last round was from 65.5 to 6.25 score, wherein the hardest and the easiest courses were MA in Urdu and P. G. Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS Application, respectively.
