Good facilities are available.
Placements: Above 80% students got internships. Top recruiting companies are Matsyafed (Kerala State Cooperative Federation for fisheries development Ltd. ), Innovafeed, CIFNET, and CMFRI. High job opportunities in the Kerala Fisheries Sector. Above 80% students are placed in the course.
Infrastructure: Well-developed facilities. For the semester, girls don't get a hostel. The government gives an amount to support those students. The food at private hostels is not good. The campus hostel has much better food than the private hostel. There are good classrooms with smart class ICAR-sponsored classrooms.
Faculty: The pass percentage for the semester is 50%. Teachers are very healthy, qualified, well-experienced, and knowledgeable. Semester exams are not very difficult. The difficulty depends on the subjects included in the semester. The teaching quality is good enough to gain knowledge.

Master of Technology (M.Tech) - Batch of 2021
4.6

Strong program for marine and coastal engineering.
Placements: M.Tech program at our college has been an exciting and enriching experience. The placement scenario was promising, around 75% of students secured jobs in leading companies. The highest package offered was 12 LPA. The average package was around 7 LPA. The lowest was around 3 LPA. Renault recruiters like India put association Adani port and other organisations. Internships with around 70% of students working with port authorities, off-shore engineering firms, and research organisation.
Infrastructure: The department was well-equipped with specialized lab for hydrodynamics, marine geotechnics, and sediment transport studies. Students got access to high-simulation software like and MIKE21, DELFT3D, ANSYS for research and project work with extensive study materials journals, and case studies. Hostels provided comfortable living environment with Wi-Fi uninterrupted, power supply, continuous water, and well-maintained facilities. The food provided was decent and students could also enjoy sports facilities, medical care, and extracurricular activities on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members were highly knowledgeable and experienced. They provided practical exposure to industrial collaboration and site visits. They included essential topics like weave mechanism, harbour planning, grading technology, and offshore insurance. Students required game skills for the industry.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the course I had taken. Placements were too slow to get.
Placements: 10-15 students were placed in our college at different companies. The highest package was 45,000/- per month. Agriculture-based bank IDBI was the top company that recruited for our course. Most of them got internships in various companies. Junior assistant was the role offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was better than any other government-based college. Labs and classrooms of the eastern campus were well maintained, while the western campus was too old to maintain. The library was good for an average learner. The hostel is huge, and they maintained it very well. The food is good compared to other hostels, and the rates were also minimal. The mess and canteen are clean and hygienic. The badminton court is the center of attraction in the hostel. The matron has a friendly nature.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in their own way, and all the teachers are well-qualified doctorates. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is not that relevant; it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit too difficult nowadays. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I see a future in the fisheries sector in the coming generation. The main thing about the course is we will be free from mental stress and tension. SFI is starting seriously, and the events held are awesome.

B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2027

Absolutely dissatisfied, poor campus life, poor faculties, difficult to find friends
Placements: The placements are pretty good. Most students get placed outside Kerala. But the opportunities are less in India. The salary packages are not satisfying. This course has better scope in European countries. Since the course doesn't have AICTE accreditation, top companies usually don't come for recruitments. It's the students who research jobs for themselves. The internships are also conducted like this. Students find companies and apply for internships. The course helps us to get into food industries. We can work as a food inspector, a processes food developer etc.
Infrastructure: The college has labs for each subject which are in a very good condition. Students are allowed to use the same under the surveillance of faculty members. Wi-Fi connections are not that good. Students don’t get Wi-Fi connection. The library which is situated opposite to our campus offers study materials. Girls studying in first year of any course don't get access to women's hostel due to lack of accommodation facilities. The food is okay, there’s nothing to complain about it. Since the number of boys is less in the college, they get hostel facilities from the first year itself. The sports facility is not good. There is no good infrastructure for it. If you are looking forward to continue your sports career as a side hustle, this isn't a place for you. Make your choices wisely.
Faculty: In our department, we have only 4 permanent faculty members. Others are guest lecturers. Even the DEAN is temporary. Since we have only less permanent faculty members, most of the time they won't come to take lectures because they hav to have a lot of meetings for the smooth running of the course. At the end of the semester, most of the syllabus might not be over. The passing percentage depends on the need of the students to complete the course. Teachers don't care whether you are studying or not. Semester exams are conducted by the college itself. The question paper comes from outside the campus while the permanent faculty members decide the topics for the exams. The semester exams are easy if you study well. If you are a person who studies few days before exam, you are going to suffer because the college conducts exams without any order. Sometimes they conduct 2 exams in a day, continuous semester exams without any study leave in between.
Other: I would recommend to not come to this college. You will feel bad because the campus life is poor. There are no much students in the college. If you are a person who likes to enjoy your college life, never come here. You better go to some reputed universities like LPU, Manipal etc. The students who only come to study can survive here.

The teachers are helpful in nature.
Placements: In recent years, the placement rate has been around 80%. There is a separate department for student placement that helps the students with their student placement process. The highest package offered by the companies is around Rs 4,50,000/- per annum.
Infrastructure: There is a library facility available for the students. The library is well-stocked with a wide range of books, journals, and other study materials. The classrooms are well-equipped with smartboards, projectors, and other equipment. The college also provides the medical facilities to the students.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in nature and guide the students for the future as well as for their careers. The teachers are well qualified and have a great knowledge in their domain. This course makes the students industry-ready. The exams are held semester-wise as well as mid-semester-wise.
