Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by M B Government Post Graduate College
3.2

Both years are the same for me.
Placements: About 10 to 20 percent of students were placed, but the placement ratio of the college is not good because it is a government college, and all the students have to study on their own and do a lot of hard work to pass the exams. The main aim of the college is to give a degree to the students.
Infrastructure: It is a government college, it doesn't consist of various facilities, it doesn't have a hostel, but the infrastructure of the college is a little bit good. Sports happen in this college and are organised by the students. There is no canteen, but medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teacher only gives us motivation and gives us tips on how to pass the exam and earn the degree easily. The semester exams were hard to pass, but by doing hard work, we can easily pass and achieve our degree, and the teacher helps us to make notes on the subject, how to study, and where to study.
Other: Fests will happen in our college.

Good faculty and a good atmosphere, and it is a very good and calm place.
Placements: There was no placement in the Bachelor of Arts. It was only for degree purposes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was very good, and the library was also equipped with Wi-Fi and AC. Canteen facility was also available. The food in the canteen was very tasty and I always prefer to eat there. Classrooms were very neat and clean, and provided a peaceful environment. There were labs for every subject. For example, Science labs, Geography labs, Biology labs, etc.
Faculty: Teachers were very cooperative and knowledgeable. The curriculum here was up to date. Semester exams were good. The Pass percentage was 33%. The government of Uttarakhand was also providing a scholarship for candidates who achieved good marks in their exams. The courses provided were up to date.

Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) - Batch of 2027

Overall, the college is very good and a very nice college. You can have a chance.
Placements: When you have to take placement at the main campus. The college will provide you with a seat, and then you have to take the placement test off-campus.
Infrastructure: The hostel is also good, but there are not many hostels for our course, and you can take a PG or a room. Hostels do not have many seats. They have something like 56, so you cannot depend on the hostels, you have to see a room or a PG.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are very helpful, kind, and polite. The facilities are good, and the curriculum is also very good. To provide anything or to conduct anything, you have to go to the GSB campus for your exam.
Other: The crowd is a bit rude because outsiders also come. It's a good college.

Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) - Batch of 2024

The college is good and suitable for the middle class.
Placements: I would like to say 60% of students were enrolled every year. The highest package was 8 to 9 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. No companies hired students, but we earned during internships. The roles offered by companies were satisfying.
Infrastructure: Kumaun University was the best university in the Kumaun region, but it had some positive and negative aspects. The college had its canteen, medical facilities, stadium, and many more. The food in the mess was really good. Canteen groceries like biscuits and namkeen were very affordable.
Faculty: Teachers of this college were very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was very polite and helpful. The course curriculum was relevant, but I don't think students were fully prepared for it. The semester exams were set at a normal level, but a few students failed and suffered from backlogs.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in it, and I loved being called a lawyer. I wanted to improve the study structure and the class system.

Integrated B.Sc. M.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2028
4.8

Absolutely satisfied, it's a dream college for someone who is interested in research field.
Placements: Our course is integrated B.Sc. M.Sc. in biotechnology requires students to have 75% or above in their 12th class. Our department provides placement in the government research field at M.Sc. level. Also provides some internships and projects at B.Sc. level. Many internship programs are suggested to us by our faculty members if we want, we can join them with their help and support.
Infrastructure: The department has all the facilities a student needs, including separate Wi-Fi for computer labs and department. Science labs like physics, biochemistry, and micro labs are properly cleaned and well-maintained. It has a very beautiful library on the campus.
Faculty: The staffs and faculty members are highly qualified and dedicated. All faculty members are Ph.D. holders in their respective fields. All teachers are highly supportive and understanding. They are always ready to help you anytime. Semester exams are not too tough or too easy. The paper pattern is moderate and easily scored.

MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2029
Offered by Government Medical College, Haldwani

Good infrastructure with green and vast campus, and with good career opportunities, makes it best.
Placements: The total number of students is 125 across 28 colleges. The highest package offered is Rs. 90,000, while the lowest is Rs. 60,000, and the average is approximately Rs. 70,000. Most of the students work in the same hospital after an internship at the same college. The college offers courses like MBBS, B.Sc., Nursing, and Paramedical.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are very good, and the infrastructure is well-maintained and well-furnished. Courses and department have their separate labs, which are well-equipped. Classrooms are decent but without AC. The library is provided with AC and Wi-Fi. The hostel has good infrastructure and furniture, while the food is awful. Sports and games are organized regularly.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, helpful, and well-qualified. At least they are MD, MS, and MBBS. They are very knowledgeable and are available whenever we need them. The teaching quality is up to date, and the course is as per the current NMC, which prepares the students for the upcoming world and technology. Exams are difficult, and most students get only 50 to 70 marks.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a doctor. The best thing of the course is that it helps me to serve my nation. The thing I can improve is more co-curricular activities. However, the fest is organized once a year. The college is less crowded, with good connectivity. The campus is green and vast, with a capacity of about 20,000.
