To get into M.A.M. College of Engineering and Technology for a B.E. or B.Tech course, you need to have cleared class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. General category students should have at least 45 percent average in these three subjects, while students from backward or reserved categories need around 40 percent. The college accepts both academic and vocational streams. If you took vocational subjects at the 12th level, the same minimum marks apply. This needs to be noted.Admissions are managed through the Tamil Nadu single window counselling system known as TNEA. Half of the seats are filled based on TNEA rank, and the remaining seats are offered through the college's management quota, with priority given to better 12th marks. So in simple terms:You need a pass in class 12 with required marks in PCM or vocational subjects.Admissions are through TNEA counselling & management quota by merit.Reserved category students have a slightly lower cutoff.
