As per the information sourced from the official website of the institute, the deadline to apply for MCA courses at SMIT Manipal University was June 25, 2025. From now onwards till these dates, candidates can apply for the MCA course. It is advishedthat to last minute rush, candidates apply for the course now, and once graduation results are announced, they can attach/submit their bachelor's degree mark sheet in the application form.   

The MCA course is divided into four semesters, and each semester contains elective subjects. Candidates have the choice to select from the list of elective subjects. To get a PG scholarship at SMIT, Manipal University, MCA students are required to achieve good grades in their BCA/BSc (Computer Science)/ BSc. IT/BE (CSE)/BTech (CSE)/BE (IT)/BTech IT or any graduation degree (BCom/BA/BVoc/etc.), preferably with Mathematics. This scholarship is offered on the basis of merit and provided as a concession on tuition fee. SMIT Manipal University offers BSc courses in various types, such as general, honours, research and integrated courses. Tezpur University mostly offers integrated BSc courses. The total number of seats offered in BSc courses at SMIT, Manipal University is 140, whereas 13 seats are offered at Tezpur University. Conclusively, both of the institutes offers a similar number of BSc seats. 

To get admissions into MCA courses at SMIT Sikkim, Manipal University, candidates are required to complete their BTech/BE/ BSc/ BCom degrees with the related subjects. Additionally, on the official website of the institute, it does not mention that the institute accepts direct admissions to MCA courses. However, it is still suggested to the candidates that they can reach the admission department of the institute directly for the queries related to direct admissions at  SMIT, Manipal University.  

SMIT, Sikkim, has separate hostels for boys and girls and provides accommodation to MSc students. The hostel rooms are two-seaters, well-furnished, and have attached bathrooms with hot water supply during winter. There are separate student messes for boys and Girls. Canteens & food courts are also available for vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Recreation rooms with TVs, separate gymnasiums for boys and girls, and sports facilities are available.
