An honest review of the fashion design course in MUJ.

Placements: The placement cell for my particular course is not that good. All my seniors opt for their family businesses, or they have to get referrals from their friends. As per my batch, we also need to do the same as there are not that good placements from the university.

Infrastructure: Everything related to the hostel is average but not that much good. The food outlets here do not provide up-to-the-mark food. For the mess, we have 2 varieties, and we can obtain one of them. The infrastructure and rooms are good. The park and other facilities provided are also good.

Faculty: The academic side of my course is also good as far as compared to other colleges of fashion. The college fee is also good and not that much expensive. The technical study and the study material are very knowledgeable. Faculty members are well-educated, and they know a lot of stuff about the industry.

Other: Everybody should be involved in the clubs and events if you are in MUJ.

Great fashion course with excellent faculty, hands-on learning and good placement opportunities!

Placements: I'm in the fashion course, and about 85 percent of my batch got placed. The highest package was 8 lakhs, the lowest was 3 lakhs and the average was 5 lakhs. Top companies recruiting us include FabIndia, H&M and Reliance Trends. Around 60 percent of students got internships, mainly with Myntra and Amazon Fashion. Top roles offered are fashion designer, merchandiser and stylist. It's a great course!

Infrastructure: Our fashion department has great facilities. The classrooms are spacious and we have well-equipped labs for practical work. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. In the hostel, the rooms are comfortable. The mess food is generally good. The canteen offers snacks too. Medical facilities are accessible. There are sports facilities for games like basketball and badminton. Overall, the infrastructure supports our needs well!

Faculty: The teachers in our fashion course are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is high with a focus on practical skills and industry trends. The course curriculum is relevant and designed to make us industry-ready covering essential topics and hands on experience. The semester exams can be challenging but they reflect what we’ve learned. The pass percentage is around 80 percent so most students do well if they keep up with the coursework.

Other: I chose this fashion course because of my passion for design and creativity. The best things about it are the hands-on learning opportunities and the industry exposure we get through workshops and internships. One thing I wish could improve is the availability of more guest lectures from industry experts. As for events, we have some great fests that bring the campus to life and the crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity is good and the campus surroundings are pleasant. There are also scholarships available for deserving students and extracurricular activities like fashion shows and competitions keep us engaged outside of academics.

Manipal is a very good college because of faculty and discipline.

Placements: 90% students get placements in the country or outside the country. The annual package is a minimum 8 lacs. Companies like Lakme, Nykaa, Google, Microsoft, Tata, etc. hire them. The students get placements in very big companies and are in good positions. And some go for business and entrepreneurship.

Infrastructure: Food quality is very good and clean. All facilities are provided by the hostel, like big food courts and shopping area. A salon is also provided by the hostel. Discipline is maintained. The library is available for architecture and design students separately.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly, helpful and understanding. The semester exams have 30 marks and are not that difficult. The teachers are from different states and very knowledgeable. Out of 30, 10 marks are needed for passing. If failure occurs, remedial support is provided by the college.

Other: This course is very interesting but time-consuming. This course has much scope for future and is a never-ending trending course. Students can apply for scholarships as well.

It is more of a glamorous world than educational.

Placements: The campus placement isn't there in designing field. It is based on how good your portfolio is. Software skills matter a lot. The students knowing multiple software is a blessing. Senior batch hasn't passed out yet. They are struggling with their thesis. 3Ds and rendering are offered.

Infrastructure: Manipal is known for its high-class infrastructure. Ar. Hafeez contractor played a major role in development. Cad labs and stationary are there. The inter-college sports competitions are held. The medical facilities are good. The hostel rooms are good. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned.

Faculty: The faculty members are too less to handle multiple studios. Most of the faculty members have joined for work experience. 20:1 is the student-faculty ratio. The separate drafting tables are allotted to each student. Site visits are encouraged. Case study trips are included in the curriculum.

The best university of India where we get the best infrastructure and hostel facilities.

Placements: The placements are good enough here. Big companies like the Amazon, Dell, Google, Airtel companies come for the placements, but it's true that 25% students manage to get a good package. 3 of my seniors got the job in Amazon of Rs. 12 lakhs of the package, but the minimum package goes for Rs. 2 to 3 lakhs. Here, students were offered online roles like the website development as well as the marketing. During internship also, many students got 10 to 25 thousand of rupees. Manipal University also has a placement cell as well as an internship cell.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is amazing here, as it is based on Indo Islamic theme with Rajasthan colour code as well, beautiful campus with a beautifully designed building. A lot of clubs are there like music club, dance, literature, sports acting etc. Classes and labs are totally amazing here. Food, as well as snacks, are also very good and completely hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty, as well as course curriculum, is very well planned. The faculty members here are done with the Masters or PhD. Every class is having a projector as well as labs which are also completely fine. Its designed by an amazing architect hafiz contractor who is famous worldwide. The best college for this generation as you get enough time to discuss with your faculty members as well as you can show your extra talent by joining clubs in which you are interested in, as they also organise lots of events and competitions.

Other: The campus organises a lot of fests like cultural fest, sports fest, tech fest, management fest so that they are also get connected with other colleges and universities during promotions as well as invitations. Amazing campus with an amazing crowd. Also, students getting over 75% get 100% scholarship and also the government scholarships.

The college provides all facilities for students.

Placements: Interior design is a course which requires creativity and knowledge about the material. Institute like NID and Seed are good for pursuing masters. Interior design is a vast subject which includes decoration as well as technicalities. The way we deal with the client understands what they need is essential. Placements are offered according to their capabilities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. Good quality of food is served. Labs and library are available. Medical facilities are not that good. The library has beautiful books full of knowledge about interior architecture. Free Wi-Fi facility is available. Classrooms are neat and clean. Bathrooms are also available.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified and understand students psychology well. They are ready to help students 24x7. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant. But industry knowledge is more. Practical knowledge should be provided. It is important for students to know about the outside world so that they can deal well. They are talented and teach well for students. They understand students and help them if they face any difficulty.

Other: I have chosen this course because it has a scope, and it is related to creativity. We can put forward our creativity in whatever manner we wish to. Scholarships are also provided. Clubs are formed. Workshops are conducted.
