My honest review about my college.
Placements: Placements were great. It was like a fair and we had many choices. I was offered 2 jobs after many interviews and was offered a great salary for a starter. The overall experience of the internship was really good. I was doing an internship in the cancer department. So I got to many things related to the medical field.
Infrastructure: The mess was great. It provided good healthy food, lots of variety, and it changed everyday. College hostel was good too. I wasn't living there but from my friends I heard it was very good. They had an experience of their own.
Faculty: Faculty members were great. Teachers were great with immense knowledge in this field. There was a personal bonding with teachers which helped us to grasp better. The examinations were great and very practical unlike schools realistic math problems. We were asked about realistic situations and general questions during examination which were really helpful. Course curriculum was fine. There was semester system and you had to give internal exam also in mid of the semester and that internal exams marks also added in the final semester. If I talk about exam structure then it consists of 4-5 questions with 4-5 subparts. There was internal choice also.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: Job placements were provided. Companies such as Wipro visited and provided good placements. The program for BSCIT students provided by Wipro was great. They provided good stipend and also classes were conducted for master in software program which was for 4 years and after that you got placed into the company itself with good annual package.
Infrastructure: College had an environment of studies as well as extracurricular activities. I did not opt for hostel. But as per my hostel friends, the hostel infrastructure and facilities were well taken. The warden was quite good, and the discipline was maintained. I did not know what the fee for the hostel now.
Faculty: Sophia College was known as one of the best colleges for science and arts in Mumbai. Faculty members, labs, and teaching faculty were good. The exams were well scheduled without any pressure. Students enjoy studying. Batch wise laboratory experiments were carried out without missing any students. There are numerous seminars, counselling, and other new courses that were carried out. To make learning more enjoyable, there were mind map sessions, teachers did not trouble the students with lots of burden. Audio-visual rooms helped students to interact with teacher and for particular topics, teachers take an interest in giving good PPT lectures. Semester examination was there in the department for M.Sc. students, and classes were also held in the department. One had to submit the fee to college and collect the admit card and mark sheet from there.

    Affordability with quality .
Placements: Well, this government college does not provide any placement in Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) or Masters in Science (M.Sc.). But yes, placements are held in other courses, like in M.Com., where several companies arrived at the campus to recruit freshers. The students placed are nearly dependent on their personalities and knowledge.
Infrastructure: The college has all the facilities, like a table with Wi-Fi connection all over the college range, a laboratory for essential course subjects with needed facilities, classrooms, a library with all books and other stuff of many genres. GCA has a girls hostel and the quality of food in the mess and canteen is quite good. Medical first aid facilities are available in every department. This college is highly active in sports, games and other co-curricular activities. Periodically, game competitions are held.
Faculty: The teachers here are mostly highly qualified and helpful. The teaching quality is also good but self-awareness is needed because teachers are slightly strict while they are teaching any subject. The semester exams are definitely neither too difficult nor too easy; their toughness is between hard and easy. The passing percentage in the semester exam is 40 percent.
Other: The best part is that the cost of every course in this government college is between INR 2,000 and 3,000 per year. It is very cheap because of the quality of the materials. This fee is only for day scholars.

If students only want a degree then go to this college.
Placements: Around 250 students in the same course in our college were placed. This was before covid most of the students come to top this university because of freedom provided to them in terms of absence in college. So most of the students were absent, and that affected the placements as well. There were only around 30 students who got qualified in the college placements. I was not one of them. The average salary offered ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 63,000.
Infrastructure: This was a big university in the state, and it has its name in good books but the facilities do not reflect that. The canteen was closed during our whole session due to some undergoing work or maybe this was their excuse. Students had to step out of the college for lunch. The hostel's physical condition was good, but the wardens were not much responsible type. So I suggest students take any other the nearest PG hostel.
Faculty: I like the exam pattern here as most of the students. The level of MDSU exams were considered as the lowest in the state, that's why most students came here to get the degree at the easiest. Teacher's behavior was good, they were well qualified, but they seem less interested in teaching, not very helpful towards studying but most teachers carry good behavior.
Other: The reason behind choosing this course was simple, I like chemistry and I wanted to master that. But I was preparing for some competitive exams also so I was not having enough time that's why I decided to move to this college. I easily got the degree without much effort.

    Not satisfactory experience.
Placements: Zero placements in my course as no company visits the college for placement. But few students are capable of clearing CSIR or UGC NET/ JRF as well as other competitive exams.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus. Labs lack basic equipments and techniques. Library is quite good. Various books are available. Classes are not conducted on a regular basis. Infrastructure is good.
Faculty: teachers are very helpful to those who are interested to learn and gain knowledge. They are qualified and have immense knowledge in their respective subjects. The college is government, so all teachers have cleared various exams. The curriculum is relevant with respect to the course.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in knowing more about plants. The best thing is you will feel more connected with nature. Better lab facilities should be provided to the students so that they can have hands on experience. NCC activities are organised in the college. Scholarships are also provided to students.

The college provides good infrastructure and teachers.

Top roles offered are teacher, researchers, lecturers, etc. People also chose to work in biology-based industries such as pharmaceutical and diagnostic lab.
Infrastructure: I didn't live in a hostel as I was a locality. Facilities and infrastructure are very good. The library is pretty up to date. Smart classrooms with the projector are available. Canteen is good and hygienic. Sports are available for interested students. College also plays in intercollegiate tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers of our course were well-qualified and very helpful. The course curriculum was very good. Regular presentation and seminars were held to boost the confidence of students. Students also help Academically weak students. Students were encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities.
Other: I have chosen this course based on my interest and passion. The college should add more practicals to the course. The campus crowd is very good and helpful. A few numbers of fests were organised, which were also good. Connectivity with the city is good.
