The following are the most important factors for how the certificates from Calicut University and MG - Mahatma Gandhi University are recognized, respectively:Accreditation and Reputation:Calicut University is located in Kerala and is also one of the prominent universities in the region. It was accredited by the University Grants Commission of India. Courses offered are from bachelor's, master's, and doctorate levels.MG University – This is one college located in Kerala and is one of the mainstream schools even by UGC. Here, too, there is the repute of Calicut University seen, and the proper amount of courses similar to Calicut University provided.Recognition:As both colleges come under recognition and awareness by UGC, their respective degree and certificates from these colleges are treated as usually valid in India.Industry and Academic ViewsThis might be because both are strong in different areas, considering both industry and academic perception. Again, a certificate might be recognised or not depending on the field of study and university standing in that particular area.Regional Preference: Although both the universities in Kerala have enjoyed respect, the choice may lie in the programme one chooses and with personal or professional affiliations.

{Source: B.Ed students & alumni}Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:Pros:* The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable in their domains.* The college has a separate department for student placement, which offers assistance in the placement process.* The highest package offered by companies is around INR7,00,000 per annum.* The college has a good reputation among recruiters, with companies like Amazon, Wipro, and TCS participating in recruitment drives.* The faculty members are approachable and dedicated towards teaching.Cons:* Placement opportunities may not be satisfactory, with a low placement rate and limited internship opportunities.* Some students reported difficulties in getting placements, and the college didn't seem to care much.* Infrastructure and maintenance issues were reported, including problems with Wi-Fi connectivity and hostel maintenance.* Limited practical learning opportunities and focus on theoretical aspects of education.* Low passing percentage in subjects, reportedly around 35%.Overall, while MG University's B.Ed programme has its strengths, such as supportive teachers and good placement efforts, it seems to struggle with placing students and providing adequate infrastructure and practical learning opportunities. Students considering this programme should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.
