A:

The basic eligibility criteria that students must fulfil to avail Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students are given below:

  • The applicant must be above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class 12 or equivalent.
  • The applicant must be pursuing regular degree courses and not correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses.
  • The applicant must be pursuing courses at colleges/institutions recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and the respective Regulatory Bodies concerned.
  • The applicant must not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship schemes including State-run scholarship schemes/ fee waivers & reimbursement schemes.
  • The gross parental/family income of the applicant should not exceed ?4,50,000 per annum.
  • For renewal of scholarship in each year of study, besides getting at least 50% marks in the Annual Examination, maintenance of adequate attendance of at least 75%, will also be the criteria.
Q:   What is the MGU CAT application fee?
A:

Mahatma Gandhi Univerity Common Admission Test (MGU CAT) application fee is announced category-wise. The application fee for general and open all-India quota candidates is INR 1,200 and INR 600 for the SC/ST candidates. Moreover, the fee for international candidates is UD 100. The fee payment shall be accepted in online mode via credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Q:   What is the fee structure for MSc at MG University?
A:

The total course fee includes multiple components such as the tuition fee, enrolment fee, library fee, security deposit, etc. MSc courses fee in MGU University & its affiliated colleges ranges between INR 1,900 and INR 2 lakh. Placements: Many preferences and priorities are provided to the academics rather than placements. Students with zero backlogs are allowed to perform in training and drives. It is the best college for the M.Sc. in Zoology course.

Placements: About 55 percent of students get placed based on our statistics. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Large companies like Pfizer, Nestled, and Amul visit our campus to recruit students. High-level jobs like ecologist, conservationist, and so forth are made available to students. Just half of the students at our college are given internships.

It has really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Very few students that I know have been placed. The highest package was 5 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average was 4 LPA. IT companies like Inforpark offer jobs, and a very few got direct jobs in IT companies, at Bangalore. Software developed, and application developed roles are offered.

Overall, I have a good experience at SH Thevara.

Placements: There are around 75–80% placements at SH. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, etc., recruit regularly. The average package is 4–4.5 LPA, with the highest reaching 6–7 LPA. There is a strong placement cell support at the college. More than 65% of students receive internships during their 2nd year.
