MG University Admission Process 2025
Mahatma Gandhi University admissions at the University campus usually begin in May every year. The registrations for all the courses close in June every year. It must be noted that the mentioned timeline is as per the past years’ trend. The admission schedule is further published online on the university website (mgu.ac.in). STEP 1: MG University Application Process 2025
The MGU application process for most courses on the university campus is conducted through an MGU CAT. Candidates have to register online via the official website of MGU CAT to apply for any of the programmes (www.cat.mgu.ac.in). For registration and other course applications, students can visit mgu.ac.in. Moreover, applications for accepted exams have to be completed through the website of the exam conducting bodies.
STEP 2: MG University Selection Criteria 2025
After the conclusion of the application process, candidates have to go through the course-specific selection rounds. MG University rank lists are released for each course to indicate the names of the selected candidates. For some courses, candidates have to go through a counselling round as well. UG admissions are also done through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP), ensuring all admissions are done in a transparent manner. These merit lists are published on the MGU official website.
STEP 3: Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation

MG University Seats 2025
MGU UG and PG seat allotment is carried out through a centralised process. Apart from the merit seats available in government/aided/self-financing affiliated colleges, the seats are reserved under certain categories, including persons with disabilities, transgender candidates, special reservations and mandatory reservations.
