MMU Solan offers admission to candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. The university conducts entrance tests for admission to PhD, BSc Nursing and GNM programmes. MMU also accepts NEET and NEET PG scores for admission to MBBS and MD/ MS courses, respectively. For all other courses, selection is based on qualifying exam scores of the candidates. Further, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the selected aspirants. Once the seat is allotted to candidates, they need to confirm the same by paying the course fee.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English are eligible to apply for MBBS programme at MMU Solan. Aspirants who have passed BSc examination of an Indian university provided that he or she has passed the exam with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/ Zoology), Biotechnology can also apply.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 are eligible to apply for MMU Solan UG courses. The university offers BSc, BVoc, MBBS, BSc Nursing, etc. at the UG level. The aggregate requirement for most of the UG programmes is 50%. There is a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates for some of the courses. Candidates also need to appear for entrance test for admission to a few UG programmes.

The requirement for NEET depends on the course applied by the candidates. MMU Solan considers NEET-UG scores for admission to MBBS programme whereas, NEET-PG scores is required for MD and MS courses. The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants seeking admission in BSc Nursing, GNM and PhD courses have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by MMU Solan. MMU Solan BSc admissions are both merit and entrance-based depending upon the specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to the programme must follow the step-wise MMU Solan BSc admission process:

Step 1: MMU Solan BSc Application Process 2024

Download the application form and submit it offline. Candidates must provide personal, guardian, educational and, other details. Attach the necessary documents in the application form and pay the MMU Solan BSc application fee.

Step 2: MMU Solan BSc Selection Criteria 2024

For Nursing courses i.e., BSc in Nursing and GNM, candidates must appear for the entrance test conducted by the MM University while admission to all the other specialisations is based on marks obtained by candidates in Class 12 in medical stream.

Step 3: MMU Solan BSc Counselling and Seat Allotment

The shortlisted candidates must appear for the counselling process and document verification process and the selected candidates are required to pay the MMU Solan BSc admission fees.

Candidates seeking admission to the nursing courses offered at MMU Solan which include BSc in Nursing and GNM are required to appear for the entrance test conducted by the University. Therefore, they cannot get direct admission to these specialisations while on another hand, admission to rest of the specialisations is based on marks secured by candidates in Class 12 examination in medical stream.

MMU Solan BSc college comparison is based on the tuition fees charged and the seat intake in comparison to CUHP. MMU Solan BSc fees ranges from INR 1.20 Lacs to INR 2.80 Lacs while the fees charged by Central University of Himachal Pradesh for the BSc programme is only INR 14,400.

MMU Solan BSc seat intake is 290 while on another hand CUHP has only 33 seats for its BSc programme.

Candidates who are selected for admission at MMU Solan need to participate in counselling rounds for seat allotment. Aspirants need to report at the campus with the below-mentioned documents for verification:

MMU Solan offers seats to candidates in the MBBS programme based on their NEET-UG scores. Aspirants with a valid NEET score are offered seat through centralised counselling conducted by Government of Himachal Pradesh. The seats are available under State Quota and Management Quota in the MBBS programme. Once selected, aspirants can confirm their seat by paying the course fee. 

Maharishi Markandeshwar University follows the seat reservation policy. MMU Solan BSc seat reservation policy states that seats are distributed in the ratio of 25:75 for state quota and management quota candidates. Apart from that, 15% of the total seats are reserved for NRI candidates.

Candidates while filling out the application form for MMU Solan need to upload some documents. In case of offline submission, aspirants are required to attach the below documents with the form:

MMU Solan BSc admission to nursing courses (BSc and GNM) is done through an Entrance exam conducted by the MM University. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for admission to these specific specialisations.
