Best regional university.
Placements: The placement in our course was extremely low due to non-vocational course. Only some schools offered jobs, and some NGOs also. Package offered was around 3-4 LPA, mostly. Very few students were also able to secure an internship from different institutions.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were decent. There was a lack of resources due to nature. But it's quite good at regional level. Quality of hostel was also good. Canteen and mess food was delicious. Basic medical assessment and a limited sports facility.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality of our faculty members was really good. Course curriculum was relevant. It doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester examination was at a moderate level. Around 85% of students were passed.

Dissatisfied because of the hostel facilities and infrastructures.
Placements: The placements for the 2nd year and 1st year are not good as the higher faculty members mainly focus for the final year for placement. Plus there is only private companies with low annual package for the placement. They either place us at contact basis or low salary.
Infrastructure: Although the badminton and table tennis stadium are good. There is no football ground or basketball which is sad for us hostellers. The food of the hostel is sad being a government institution they should be able to give us good food but the curry really sucka.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified but most of the faculty members tend to skip the classes sometimes which slow down the teaching process and when the time for exam comes they will hurrrily give us notes and place pressure kn the students. Although the exam is not hard it's their duty to give proper noyes at proper time.

The overall environment is very good, but the campus needs major development in infrastructure.
Placements: It was just a normal M.A. course, the university doesn't provide any placement opportunities. The course is solely dependent on the Students themselves to clear NET to get placements. You can get placed as an assistant professor across the state once the course is over.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure needs major renovation considering it's a central university. The hostel is quite good, located in a pleasing environment. There are lots of varieties in canteens and medical facilities are helpful. There are lots of sports activities throughout the year too.
Faculty: We need more enthusiastic and young professors. Most of the professors are good, but some are old and feel like they have lost their passion for teaching. The course is very relevant to prepare for exams like NET and other civil services. The exams are quite difficult, a lot of people got back papers from our batch in the final semester.
Other: I chose history and archaeology because I always had a passion to learn about Indian culture. Wish the department had more enthusiastic professors. There are lots of events and university festivals throughout the year.

Overall, the college education was very good and worth the cost.
Placements: Around 30 were placed in my course The highest was around 3-4 Lacs annually, the lowest was 80-1 and average was 80-2 Top recruiting companies were Big Bazaar, Vodafone and patanjali Around 2 percent got internship and most of them went to big bazaar Top roles offered were museum curator, archivist and teacher .
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi around the campus. There was one in the lobby, the network was so bad that we couldn't do much, and there is one museum that is restricted and used only for a specific purpose. The classrooms were kind of old, while the library was one of a kind, it contained a lot of books, which were quite helpful. The canteen was also superb, and the ground was also not that bad.
Faculty: The teaching was very helpful with highly professional lecturers attending to the needs of the students, and it was quite relevant to the real world, and the college made the students ready for real-world jobs and experience. The semester exams were quite difficult, and we had to score over 70% to pass.
Other: It was the only reputed university in Nagaland, so I chose this course. The course was good and quite helpful, but the campus needed some improvement.

M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2021

My honest review about my college.
Placements: I hadn't been placed yet, but for other students who had already been placed, my review of them was a positive one. The good students were the ones who took hold of all these opportunities, in short. Internships were provided to only a few students, and the stipend was up to the mark. They received around Rs. 4,000 just for sitting in the library and entering data.
Infrastructure: We had 5 hostels within the campus, 2 for boys and 3 for girls. Based on my experience during my stay in the college hostel, we usually shared our rooms. In a single room, there were 9 persons. We paid Rs. 2,000 per month. The reason behind authorities charging a low fee was that we had to do our own chores, such as cleaning the hostel areas, the campus, and serving food in turns. I chose this course because I found geology interesting. It allowed me to learn about past events and also predict the future to a certain level.
Faculty: The curriculum was very relaxing and smooth. We did not feel burdened during our academics. There were external and internal assessments. Mini projects were also given to students. The college had very good faculty members. All professors were highly qualified and experienced, and they were always ready to help and guide the students. They were supportive and interactive, and they shared their experiences with students so that we could learn from them. Exams were held semester-wise.

Good academics and faculty.
Placements: The placement in our course was rare due to there being no companies for mass recruitment in our course. The salary offered after the course was around 3–4 LPA. Top roles offered in our course were assistant professor, teacher, and content writer. Very few students got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were quite good. Wi-Fi was not available. The library was present and had well-stocked books. Limited sports facility was present. Basic medical facilities were available. Canteen food was decent and eatable.
Faculty: Professors of our college were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching methodology of our faculty members was quite good. The course curriculum was relevant. It doesn't offer much growth in industry skills due to lack of infrastructure in the region. The semester exam was moderate.
