The CUET 2025 Exam Date has been announced. The National Testing Agency announced the date for CUET 2025 earlier and will conduct the exam from May 13, 2025 to June 3, 2025.

When we think of admission to law courses at any level, only prominent law exams like CLAT, AILET, SLAT, MH-CET Law etc. come to our mind. However, from 2022 onwards, the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) has also reserved a spot among top law entrance exams in India, which candidates can take to apply for law admissions at various participating universities. CUET scores is accepted by the Banaras Hindu University, University of Allahabad, Aligarh Muslim University for admission to five-year Integrated Bachelor of Arts in Law (BA LLB) course. CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Law Courses

Candidates seeking admissions to law courses through CUET 2025 will have to fulfill the eligibility requirements as under:

Banaras Hindu University

BA LLB (Hons.)

Candidates who have completed class 12 or equivalent or 11 1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course from a national or state recognised school or university. 

Those who have completed class 12 from open examination system are not eligible for BHU BA LLB admission 

No age limit for admission to BA LLB course

University of Allahabad 

BA LLB 

Candidates who have passed an examination in 10 2 or 11 1 course of schooling recognized by the Academic Council of the University or possess such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to 10 2 or 11 1 courses by the Bar Council of India
Those have secured 45% marks if belonging to General category, 42% marks if belonging to OBC category, and 40% marks if belonging to SC/ST categories in the class 12th examination will be eligible to participate in the admission process on qualifying CUET exam.

Central University of South Bihar

BA LLB 

Candidates should have qualified 10 2 or equivalent examination in any stream from any recognized Board/ University with at least 45% marks for General /OBC/EWS and 40% marks for SC / ST / PWD category.

Assam University

BA LLB

Candidates obtaining 50% of marks in the qualifying examination, as well as, 45% in English subject separately are eligible for admission to BA LLB course. Final merit of the candidates will be on the basis of NTA score

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

BBA LLB

Candidates should have passed Intermediate Examination or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from recognized board

Dr Harsingh Gaur Vishwavidyalaya

BA LLB (Hons.)

Candidates passed in 10 2 (in any Discipline) and securing 45% marks or equivalent CGPA if belonging to Unreserved (UR), EWS and OBC-NCL categories in the qualifying examination. A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to candidates belonging to SC and ST categories in this programme. 

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya

BCom LLB (Hons.) and BA LLB

Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate if belonging to General category, 42% of total marks for OBC & 40% of total marks for SC/ST candidates at 10 2 level from any recognized Board or equivalent. No age limit for both courses.

Rajiv Gandhi University

BA LLB

Candidate passed in class 12 (10 2) examination from any recognised board in any stream - Arts/ Science/ Commerce

RNB Global University

BA LLB

BBA LLB

Candidate passed in class 12 (10 2) examination in any stream from any recognised board.

Barkatullah University

BA LLB

Candidates passed in Class 12 as per the education standards of BCI

Q:   Is AMU BTech entrance tough?
A:

Aligarh Muslim University offers a four-year full-time BTech course at the undergraduate level. AMU offers BTech across ten specialisations including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, CSE, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, among others. AMU conducts Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) for BTech admission and it is not very tough for candidates already appeared for JEE Mains. Students who have prepared well for the board examination or JEE Mains can easily crack the AMU entrance test for BTech admission. 

Q:   How can I get admission into the BHU BSc course?
A:

Candidates seeking admission to BHU BSc (Hons) course must visit the official website of the university to apply online. BHU BSc (Hons) admission is based on candidates' performance in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). To get admission to BHU BSc (Hons) courses candidates need to register for the CUET-UG entrance test. Based on the marks secured in the test, BHU will release a list of selected students to further appear for the CUET-UG counselling process. The final selection is based on the CUET-UG score and counselling. 

Q:   At what time should I report at the CUET PG exam centre?
A:

The reporting time for the CUET PG exam depends on the exam center and the shift allotted to the candidates. There are 3 shifts which start at:

1. 8.30 AM

2. 12.30 PM

3. 3.00 PM

Please arrive 1 hour before your exam.

CUET 2025 Subjects for Law Courses

The candidates applying for CUET will have to select a combination of subjects, which is to be accepted by universities for law course admission. The subject combination candidates can select to apply for law courses at various universities are:

  • One Language from Section I - A (English Compulsory)
  • General Test and,
  • Legal Studies, and a domain specific subject
