Nagaland University was established by an Act of Parliament by the Government of India in 1989. It is a Central University in Nagaland State. The university offers 257 courses in 18 fields. Admission at Nagaland University is merit-based only. Admission to UG courses is based on the class 12th performance of the candidate and admission to PG courses is based on the performance or score in the previous qualifying exam.

MAT counseling involve 2 to 3 rounds including Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interviews (PI) and Written Ability Tests. All the councelling rounds are conducted by the respective colleges. Candidates will be taking part in these rounds depending upon the process of the respective colleges. The counseling schedule will also ber decided by the colleges only. All India Management Association (AIMA) does not play any role in the counselling process. Different institutes set their own counseling guidelines for admission. You need good score in NEET exam like if you belong to general category your marks should be around 618 and for obc category marks should be around 612  and for sc and st category, your marks should be around 514 marks and 469 marks.
