For admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering at NITTE Meenakshi Bangalore, there are exceptions or exemptions for the 60% eligibility requirement. Candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) are eligible with 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination. Additionally, 10% of the seats are reserved under the Inclusivity category for Indian nationals who have studied outside Karnataka but in India for seven years between Class 1 and 12, with at least 60% marks in PCM in Class 12. NRI candidates can also seek direct admission based on their PCM marks in Class 12.
