IISERs offer admission into courses leading to BSMS Dual Degree, and BS Degree (only at IISER Bhopal) Programs. Admissions are via IAT Channel, KVPY Channel and JEE Advanced Channel. Q:   Do all IISER students get scholarships?
A:
One of the major attractions at these new institutes was a guarantee of the INSPIRE-SHE award. Every student enrolled in the IISERs was eligible to receive the Rs-80,000 scholarship provided their academic performance was satisfactory, I. e. if they maintained an annual GPA of 6.0 and above on a 10-point scale. Students admitted through the KVPY channel will be eligible for scholarships as per KVPY norms. Students admitted through IIT-JEE (Advanced) and SCB channels will be eligible for a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships as per the norms of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Q:   What is the seat acceptance fee for BS degree offered at IIT Madras through IAT channel?
A:

Selected candidates in the closing rank list prepared by IIT Madras for admissions to the BS  degree programme, can accept the allocated seat by making the fee payement which is as follows:

  • INR 17,500 for candidates with the category tag SC, ST, GENPwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or STPwD (the fee includes INR 5,000 Nonrefundable administrative fee) and INR 35,000 for all other candidates (the fee includes INR 5,000
    Nonrefundable administrative fee).
  • The seat acceptance fee excluding Non refundable administrative fee of INR 5,000 will be adjusted against the institute fee.

CUET PG 2025 is a national-level entrance exam for candidates who wish to pursue their Masters degree from the central universities. Q:   Can I get a seat at Jadavpur University with 2000 rank?
A:

Jadavpur University WBJEE 2024 cutoff was released in the form of ranks for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD categories in the AI and HS quotas. As per the WBJEE last-round cutoff 2024, thr cutoff ranks varied between 57 and 2917. Therefore, it is easy to get admission to Jadavpur University with WBJEE rank of 2000. However, the choice of courses would be limited at this rank.

Q:   What is the rank required for WBJEE at Calcutta University?
A:

Calcutta University WBJEE cut off 2023 was concluded after the release of the Mop-Up Seat Allotment Result for admission to the BTech course. As per the Calcutta University cut off 2023, the last round closing rank for the BTech course ranged between 1207 and 27788 for the General All India category students. Analysing the last round cutoff data, BTech in Computer Science and Technology turned out to be the most competitive specialisation at Kolkata University. 

Considering the WBJEE cutoff 2023, candidates seeking admisison to Calcutta University BTech programme must secure a rank between 753 and 27788 (for General category). 

Q:   Can I get admission to BTech in Computer Engineering course at Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI]? My rank is between 5000 and 10000.
A:

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Engineering was 7216 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however, the cut-offs keep changing year after year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to the BTech in Computer Engineering course offered at the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI).
