STEP 1: Candidates can apply online for the course of their choice. Aspirants meeting the eligibility criteria are required to create an account to login the student's portal for registration.

STEP 2: Admission to RBU Kolkata is based on the performance in the qualifying exam. The university considers the merit in the last qualifying exam for admission to most of the courses. An admission test is conducted for MA Human Rights and Human Development and Mass Communication & Videography as per an unofficial source.

STEP 3: After completion of the selection rounds, selected aspirants need to come for document verification. They need to report at the university with all the specified documents. Once the verification is done, aspirants are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Rabindra Bharati University offers a one-year B.Ed programme through the Faculty of Arts. Aspirants who have completed graduation or Hons. graduation or postgraduation from any UGC recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) either at UG or PG level can apply for RBU Kolkata B.Ed programme. Aspirants will be shortlisted for B.Ed based on the merit in the last qualifying exam.

Yes, RBU admissions are open. Admission to most of the RBU Kolkata courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The university conducts a written test for some of the courses and specialisations. 

Students at Rabindra Bharati University are open to scholarships offered by Government, UGC or other agencies. Students meeting the criteria can apply for the scholarship of their choice online on the respective website. RBU offers a plethora of courses across its three faculties. Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) has three faculties, namely Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, and Faculty of Visual Arts, that offer UG, PG, and doctoral programmes. Rabindra Bharati University conducts its own practical and theoretical test for admission to some of the UG and PG courses. Apart from the regular courses, the University also offers distance education programmes, training courses to prepare for NET and SET, and Remedial Coaching courses for first-generation learners.

Rabindra Bharati University is recognised by the UGC and is also accredited by the NAAC. The university offers multi-disciplinary programmes at UG, PG, and doctoral levels in diverse streams such as Education, Social Science, Languages and Arts, among others. RBU also has a Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) that offers distance education programmes. The Salt Lake Campus (Campus III) offers these distance learning courses.

The mode of education at Rabindra Bharati University is full-time. It also has a Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) through which students can pursue MA and MFA programmes in distance learning mode. Admission to CDOE is on first-come-first-serve-basis. Candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the fee for admission to CDOE courses.
