RNTU is a private institute, established in 2010, and located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. As a part of the AISECT Group of Universities, the Institute is recognised by UGC and AICTE. Furthermore, it is accredited by NCTE and AIU and offers 80 coursesat the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. It also offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate Diploma courses.

Admission to all the courses at the university is offered basis of the entrance exam scores. To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility and selection criteria set by the university. Furthermore, the university offers an online mode of application submission. The selection of candidates for all the courses is basis the scores obtained by the candidates in the AISECT Joint Entrance Exam (AJEE), a university-level entrance exam. Besides this, the university may also accept the scores of national and state-level entrance exams for MBA.
