RISU is the first government-skill university in the country. RISU has been incorporated as Rajasthan Government State University vide Act No. 6 of 2017. It is one of the foremost institutions of quality in Skill Education recognized in the National and International arenas. The University has signed an MoU with Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) to establish a 'Centre of Excellence' (COE) for developing a scientific approach in the field of skill development. It offers multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as BVoc, BDes, MVoc, MDes, among others. RV Institute of Management has been awarded Diamond by QS-Igauge which is valid for two years.
