Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025

I was kind of okay with the college not so good, not so bad. Still, I enjoyed my college life mostly
Placements: The average package of this college is 1.2 Lacs and the highest package is around 1.8 Lacs. The placements are not really good there. The top recruiting companies were TCS and Infosys. The roles offered were software developer and many more fields. The percentage of students who got internships was around 6 to 7%.
Infrastructure: There were smart classes with good decorum, and the teachers were actually good. There was real discipline in the classes. As I stay in Jabalpur, I don't know about their hostels. There was Wi-Fi available. I heard the food in the hostel was average.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified. Some were helpful and some were egoistical. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was not up to the mark. Semester exams were easy to moderate, sometimes hard, eventually. The pass percentage was 35 percent. New things should be added to the course.
Other: Fests were quite good. There were not many fests as there were only 5 to 6 fests the whole year.

It has good infrastructure and good facilities.
Placements: In my course, there are around 59 students. The main company is TCS. Roles offered are software developer. It depends from time to time. Many students take other exams for job placement outside of college. Many students got maximum package of 1.7 LPA, average is around 1.5 LPA, and the lowest is 1.05 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classes and labs are renovated and good from my second year but in first year they are not that good only average. The new classes are very good. I do not stay in hostel so I can't say anything about it. There is a nurse's office, and some sports are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and of good nature. They are respectful towards the students. Some teachers taught us well. Course curriculum is relevant but needs to be updated from time to time as it is updated. It does make students ready for basic ideas of industry. Papers are moderate to hard depending on subject to subject.
Other: I chose BCA because I was interested in technology and wanted a course that builds strong practical and programming skills. There are supportive faculty, balanced curriculum, helpful campus crowd, active fest, and extracurricular activities. I wish there were more industry-oriented workshops and stronger internship and placement exposure.

I am not satisfied with the college infrastructure. Placements are good then but now college.
Placements: Minimum 70 percent of students are placed in this course. The highest package is of 65 LPA currently and the average percentage of students placed Is 25LPA. The highest roles are there Data Scientist Ai Engineer and Data Analyst. Students can easily get internship.
Infrastructure: Labs are good, classrooms are also okay. Library condition is well sports and games opportunity is also provided but hostel conditions are not that good. The canteen food is of good quality is also good medical staff present there for the full day. The department is good.
Faculty: Teachers are good and also qualified but the students interaction is not good. Semester exams are moderate and the passing percentage is average of 45 to 60 percent maximum teachers are qualified but not that knowledgeable. They all just go with their syllabus and forget to make students aware of their real life.
Other: Extracurricular activities held in our college every year help us to explore but not that much and they really need to improve the course faculty.

Offered by Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Science

It is a good college with good management.
Placements: Almost 30–50% of students get placed in my course each year. The highest package is around 15 LPA, the average is around 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, and a few others. Fewer students get internships this year. The top roles offered in my course last year are Data Analyst, Software Engineer, and others.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good. Free Wi-Fi is available in labs, and the overall infrastructure is good. The library is quite good. The quality of food in the canteen is nice. Labs are big with no issues. My library experience is not very good because of a fine. Sports and games happen from time to time, and the AIML department is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful. They complete the syllabus on time. The course is relevant due to upcoming challenges in AI, but it does not make students industry-ready. Students can become skilled if they work hard. Semester exams are easy and can be passed by studying even one night before the exam.

The library of our college and reading room are very good.
Placements: By the end of second-year students become eligible for the campus placements. So many companies like Infosys, Wipro, and Paytm visit the college and provide the package of 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The highest package provided by big companies like Infosys and Wipro is about 7 LPA - 8 LPA. Average 2 LPA - 3 LPA package is provided by most companies. About 50-60% of students get selected into the company from this college. After getting the degree, I have been preparing for various exams like SSC bank and railways.
Infrastructure: The hostel is within the campus for UG where the fee for a year is 75000 and increases year by year. Here, we get a room, and all are two sharing rooms. There is a list of things we have to bring on our own. The food is okay, we can't complain about it they serve good food. Hostel fee is INR 75,000 per year.
Faculty: The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course because I really wanted to do business in future that's why I chose M.Com. The curriculum prepared me for real world applications because teachers give us real life examples and explain what we have to do in future. The improvement in our course is that we want the class timing to increase.

Good but not a value for money college.
Placements: 50 to 60 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is offered by the Atlasian, which is up to 80 LPA and the average package is approximately 4 to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Jio, etc. 20 to 30 percent of students have got internships in different companies like Mastek and Persistence. Roles offered in my course are Web Developer, Software Engineer, ML Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent. There are facilities of a water cooler in the department and AC in all classrooms for cooling. Classrooms are quite good. Wi-Fi is available only in labs, and the systems are decent. College library is good, all the courses and other books are available in the library, and a huge space for sitting is provided by the library.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are not so good and focus more on academics, not on intelligence. Teaching quality is average. Course curriculum are based on AICTE approved curriculum, which is based on traditional thinking and does not work on improving skills of the students. They focus more on academics, not on the skill improvement of the students.
Other: I am choosing this course because of its scope for the future. Fests and events in my college are rarely held.
